I cannot confirm this. All you have to do to condition the battery is clear storage, then you can plug it in as soon as it boots back up. The main warning you're referring to comes from the phone losing battery during the flash procedure, but I've had this happen to me a few times and there was no damage.

I would like to learn how to save all my user customizations with SDconfig, so when I flash my phone with the latest and greatest Psyki rom I don't have to set it all up again. Is it possible to have my own file(s) for SDconfig since Psyki also uses it to set up his customizations?

If it is possible, then could someone point me to some instructions on how to use SDconfig? I found this thread:

Just search the board for sdconfig and provisioning.xml, there are a ton of threads about those subjects. That link you found is a great starter for making an sdconfig file. The real fun is using xml files to configure all your personal settings, like owner name, all your program settings, literally anything contained in the registry
