i cant get it unlocked??

Re: unlock your TP via the SD card

list out the steps one by one what you have done... if you can connect your phone to a pc the normal method is a bit more straight forward for the new user.

did you format your sd card using fat32 before doing any of this?

did you download the unlocker file and the sspl exe?

is the exe on your phone memory?

did you remember the RUU_SIGNED.zip needs to be unzipped?

the RAPHIMG.nbh file that comes out of the RUU_SIGNED.zip needs to be on your sd card and NOT in any folders just on the card.

if that doesn't give you a point of reference I don't know what else to tell you unless you give me some details.

Hi there i just got my TP today, been on a vogue forever, and never had a problem flashing this way. Now on the TP i formatted my 4gb sdhc card to fat32, placed only the RAPHIMG.nbh file in the root of my card, and ran the exe from my documents on the device, bootloader comes up, and it just says "loading..." until i either soft reset, pull the battery, or the battery dies...any and all help is appreciated. TIA

Just making sure, but you have the sprint touch pro right? and the RAPHIMG.nbh you are using is out of the RUU_SIGNED.zip i linked? (yes I had someone pm me about why it wasn't unlocking when I used a completely different nbh.) That RUU_SIGNED.zip has the file already properly named in it so all you have to do is unzip it.

also try running the exe from my device (root of the phone memory) rather than my documents.

This assumes you already know the basics of flashing. if I get enough demand ill break it down further.

This guide is only for the sprint touch pro, you break anything its not my fault you do it at your own risk!!! to make it verizonable you need to get the nbh outta the verizon unlocker.
MAKE SURE YOU THANK CMONEX IN THE Hard-SPL THREAD!!

All of this stuff is in the unlocker thread, I just linked to the sspl, and extracted the nbh for ease of use. Remember your sd card must be formatted fat 32 prior to all this fun stuff.

download the SSPL here http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/attachment...1&d=1225521707
extract this and put the exe in main memory on your phone. (meaning the SSPL should not be on your SD card.)

then download the attached zipped up nbh. Extract it then transfer it to your sd card (not in any folders just on the root of the sd card.) You should have no problems just downloading this with your phone from the site. It says RUU_Signed.zip, but inside the zip it is already named properly so don't rename it after unzipping it.

click on the exe you put on your phone to open up the sspl then it should prompt you to push power to flash. Once the flash is done you are unlocked. You can verify by holding power and vol down while pressing soft reset. It should say cmonex if you unlocked properly.

NOTE: some users have reported getting stuck in an unbootable loop after this step. simply flash this copy of the stock rom and you should be good to go. if this note helps you please sent hotspace some thanks for figuring this out ftp://ppcgeeks.com/Raphael/Users/ImC...RUU_dumped.rar

my 2gb sd card has been formatted to fat 32 and im stuck on bootloader screen. it also says "upgrade rom code error. please try again" pleeeeeeeease help

Are you using the 0.37 spl? That's the one you should be using.

There is a NOTE near the end of the first post in this thread that pertains to you. Follow those steps, except don't use the sprint rom, use this one http://www.mediafire.com/file/04jntj...39959_Ship.exe
You will have to use winrar or similar to to extract the RUU_signed.nbh file from the exe file above.
People have had the same error as you and this is the documented fix for it. It will flash your OS rom and clear that error.

Re: unlock your TP via the SD card

I honestly think at this point any unlocked rom will get you out of the loop. I am not sure what causes this error, but flashing any rom at this point seems to get you out.

flashing a shipped rom can sometimes relock the phone. I would find a dumped version rather than a shipped version.

Good point cornelious. I was just relaying the instructions from the first post. He will be fine if he just uses the nbh from the shipped rom. It will only have a possibility of relocking if he ran the exe file while connected through activesync.

im not so sure about the not relocking part since i relock my tp via sd like a normal flash using the shipped sprint nbh

thanks. your method worked. battery was full when i flashed spl via sd card but almost completely dead when i tried to flash any rom immediately afterwards. I installed latest phantom rom via active sync and everything is working great!! thanks to all you guys at ppc..

I've never seen that behavior on the sprint touch pro's I've flashed with the shipped rom, both the exe or just the nbh. Even ImCoKeMaN said that cmonex and olipro made the hardspl to where it couldn't be overwritten. I did see another guy over there is saying the same thing as you though. You may have already read up on it but if not it's discussed over on page 7 of the stock roms thread. Which sprint shipped rom are you using when it relocks your phone?

cornelious2 04-11-2009 09:15 AM

Re: unlock your TP via the SD card

at this point I honestly don't remember since I grabbed it a while ago and saved it on my sd card. but it was one of the exe roms that I do know. but maybe my TP is weird since I remember people talking about the light sensor not turning off their screen on calls and mine does. its funny all the people I saw wanted that feature but honestly I just want to turn it off because its annoying as hell if you call anything with dialer options (sprint, comcast, work's help desk, etc.) which i do alot.

also, a n00b moment, sorry fellas. i dont feel like searching google, so if u go that route, fine, but corny...but whats the difference from a shipped vs a dumped rom??? TIA

cornelious2 04-11-2009 09:22 AM

Re: unlock your TP via the SD card

a shipped rom is a leaked(or official) release from the carrier, while a dumped rom is a reverse engineered extraction from a stock phone.

razorloves 04-11-2009 09:28 AM

Re: unlock your TP via the SD card

wow...that is a noob moment..lol...just kidding. To add onto what cornelious wrote, a shipped rom flashes the OS(operating system) rom and the radio rom. A dumped rom just flashes the OS rom.

'preciate that fellas...was wondering, now i know...cool beans

ok, but with that said, in cases where u shud flash back to stock rom, is the shipped or the dumped version the best to use for this??
4 example, phone has to go back to sprint.......or having radio prollems or sum other type of hang up flashing.....

shipped rom. with the dumped roms they function like stock but you have to be unlocked while the shipped ones are properly signed and can function on the normal bootloader.

I am stuck in the boot loop. and i am a NOOB. I see in the threads where you need to just load a rom on the phone to get out of it, but i am not sure how to get the phone to recognize the rom i am trying to flash to it.

Please help!!!

Re: unlock your TP via the SD card

if you have the rom named correctly and the sd card formatted fat 32 and the file placed on the sd card but not in any folders then just by entering boot loader mode it will find the rom and say press power to update.

Alright, I have the given SD 1gb card formatted to fat32, place the exe in the root directory of the phone memory, extracted the RAPHIMG.nbh file and copy it to the root directory of the micro SD card, and then ran the exe file. It drops me to the bootloader with the tri color and

Security Unlocked
RAPH800 MFG
SPL-0.25.C-SSPL
Micro-P Raph (LED) v0C85
Micro-P Raph (KEY) v0685
PSOC-Raph STAGE_EVT v20

I don't receive any messages asking me to hit the power button to flash or anything else. I've flashed the Moto Q and HTC Mogul before but this is really stumping me. Even with the simple instructions...

Any ideas? TIA!

EDIT: Nevermind, I got the Raphael_CMDA_HSPL_037.zip to work. I originally downloaded the file from two other places (not from CMONEX's main thread) and they both wouldn't launch in Vista. Then I tried the micro SD trick. That didn't work. Then I downloaded the zip file from the CMONEX's main thread and it works. Finally!
