Really hate to quote myself, but I was thinking the problem might have to do with the Config.txt file that runs prior to the UC. The interesting thing is when I run UC, GMaps also stays in the background as well. And its called from the Config.txt file, not from UC.

So I took a peep at that file, and it did not contain a HIDE: command in it. I wonder if the config's file not having a HIDE command somehow messes with the SDConfig file?

I tested the xml with Internet Explorer too, and didn't get any errors either. Even when I CAB it up, renaming the file _Setup.xml, it still doesn't go. I'm at a loss, and I was SO excited to make this work!

Oh yeah, all the CABs install just fine from the SDgonfig, it's just the xml that I can't seem to get. I guess it's not that big of a deal, but I have a few more edits, and I want to try and get my EVDO connections setup. I use Cricket, and have two separate connections I use.

Might sound dumb but are you SURE your XML file is in the ROOT of the storage card? Also, what is the name of the error you get?

im not gonna post all the xmls as they are mostly just setup info for all the programs i have installed.

right now the only thing i havent gotten nailed is getting all my bluetooth,wifi,activesync to backup completely. i have used ceregeditor to watch for all the changes after i sync but they will not restore properly and i cant figure out how to restore hotmail as it goes through the windows live program. anyone able to help me with these parts?

im not gonna post all the xmls as they are mostly just setup info for all the programs i have installed.

right now the only thing i havent gotten nailed is getting all my bluetooth,wifi,activesync to backup completely. i have used ceregeditor to watch for all the changes after i sync but they will not restore properly and i cant figure out how to restore hotmail as it goes through the windows live program. anyone able to help me with these parts?

very nice...i would be intrested in seeing how wmwifirouter works for you im using 1.30 and the key even though imported into the registry doesnt work.

I think I might know what happened though with my initial hard reset. I had a lot of other stuff in the xml file. I was sure I checked it in Internet Explorer, but when I just tried it again it did give me an error.

dont know. im like a horder, i collect stuff i may need one day but dont need now lol. i havent launched wmwifirouter again since setting it up but i can tell you i just have a trial activation not a license key. im restarting again now trying to get bluetooth to fully restore again so i will check and tell you in about 10 minutes
