Re: [ ROM ] [ KITCHEN ] JUICY 8 - Build 090713 (21921.5.0.40) [UC]

thanks for your insightful post. i can see you have been apart of this forum for a while.

I didn't take it bad. Probably just good advice that you get a bit more info before you make comments like that. I'm not sure you're in a position to do that. I'm very familiar in flashing, and i realize what cabs would cause problems. to answer your response, i haven't installed a single cab. Again, it's not an issue. Like i tell people, if you don't like a rom or have a problem, move on.

I mean, my hell, I have been trying to figure out a seemingly rather random problem with ics for a while now, because I know its not anything to do with the Rom, as it always works just the way it should after a flash, or hard reset, so I am fairly sure it is something I install, or *maybe* a setting I allways change after a reset, and honestly, ICS is very important for me, probably at least as important as the phone working.

Idk, I guess it kinda pisses me off to see ppl come and complain the instant they hit a problem, when I, and I believe most others here, spend alot of time trying to fix stuff themselves first.

BTW, there is a *big* difference between complaining, and reporting a bug or asking if anyone knows of a fix to a known bug, after checking back at least a little.

Actually, Jshaas2, most of that was not meant for you or the other guy having problems answering calls, just the part about checking to make sure it was not something you were installing, or a setting you were changing, since it doesn't seem to be a problem for most people.

The rest was really just a rant on my part out against all the people who do like I was saying, blame the rom, without even checking anything else first. Your, and bboyneko's posts just kind of set me off on the whole thing.

Well, MACE, I blame Juicy's ROM for many things. First and foremost, it sucks! And by sucks! I mean sucks my time away because I'm always too busy showing off my phone to do anything! I do have the dialer/call pickup problem, but I also have S2U2 AND the Tachi dialer. Most likely my fault. Hitting the hard-answer button on first ring works, and sometimes on 2nd or 3rd ring, so I'm good there. But yeah, I just wanted to thank Juicy for providing a kickass ROM that has made me 2nd guess getting a TP2. Also, Juicy, your avatar is awesome.

thanks for the clarification. just probably best if you "think before you speak" next time. I did nothing to "set you off as you said, and it is an issue. Im not blaming anyone, but these chefs, whether Mike or Juicy, make better roms in part because of those that test and mention issues.

great rom, ive never said otherwise.

Thanks again Juicy for a great ROM.
I have found that this happens to me under certain conditions:

If I have TaskManager set to close the app when you hit the X and I do so while it is updating your mailbox through push or send and receive then the app does not shut down correctly and thus cannot be launched again.

Hope this helps.
