From the Favorite's tab it will only dial the chosen "favorite" number, but from the contact card it will dial any number. I haven't tried conference calling, but it's reported that doesn't work. Also not an issue for me. Email/meeting phone links work fine as well. If the inability to dial a number not in contacts gets solved I think this will take care of it!

A few folks claim that if you cook the OEM's into a ROM using a Kitchen, then the hard phone button will allow you to dial.

I don't have the kitchen on my work machine, but if this works, it would be almost perfect.

I'm fairly certain Juicy will have an updated version of his rom with this cooked in available sometime in the near future. Speaking of which, can anyone point me in the direction of a "how to" with regards to using Juicys latest kitchen. I'm still a noob and have lots to learn. I swear I saw a link to some type of "how to" for his kitchen, but darned if I can find it again.

I don't know about one specific to Juicy's kitchen, but these are a couple of links I used back when I started cooking my own. Should be enough to get you going.

Yeah, It's v3.
Are you refering to a different buikd of v3 you're using?

Honestly, I can see why Juicy kept it even if this is a standard bug: Album v3 is sooo much better (loading, scrolling) I have no problem overlooking this and managing the videos through usb disk mode.

I have this issue as well. I thought maybe I had an app holding it open in the background so I soft reset. Still had the same issue, I couldn't delete the video from File Explorer. I then, for some strange reason, decided to try deleting it with Total Commander and it deleted just fine.

I have Juicy's 090530 and cooked it in and it didn't change the [non]functionality of dialing phone numbers directly. It's not actually an issue with the hard key, the on-screen Talk button doesn't initiate the call either. It's just that it won't dial a number not in your contacts. But this prolly isn't the thread for it. Just replying for anyone interested in cooking it into Juicy's kitchen. It works great except for the inability to dial phone numbers directly (i.e. phone numbers not saved as a number for a contact).

its a button id issue. htc tachi (twin) has two send buttons (one cdma and one gsm) which send diff "codes" to the dialer.... we have a diff code being sent.... this is different than the slot code which has been fix. someone needs to fix this before i implement in rom/kitchen format.
