On my phone I found I could actually get to the hard reset screen by turning phone off and then ONLY holding down the d-pad button and then holding the reset button together. I didn't need to hold power or either volume button.

not hard reset...he asked how to manually enter bootloader..

In that case, I have to hold volume up and power button together and then depress reset to get into bootloader. volume down doesn't work for me.

I bought my TP in January. Based on a lot of the complaints I've heard, I'm wondering if they changed something in newer phone rev's.

Not sure but mine has always been down button.....go it in Jan also..
