I agree wholeheartedly and that should also include the apps that are included, such as S2U2 (and others). A link would not only provide info, but also have the latest revisions for that app. That's why I created a list a while back that included most items that Scott uses (Post #553).

When he posts a ROM or Kitchen, on page 1, right next to where the different apps are identified and listed, there should be a link to the original discussion about that particular item. That way you could make an intelligent decision on whether you wanted to use that particular item or not, and it would also have the latest release, so you would always be up to date.

But you're in IT, so you know that the documentation for an item ALWAYS lags way behind the development and release. Programmers are notoriously bad for documenting their work. They would rather do "real work" rather than document what they did yesterday.

LOL you aren't kidding. We've got a programmer in our automation division that is 6 months...SIX...S-I-X MONTHS behind on his documentation. I can't believe he still has a job. *scratches head*

To add to what you and Oldman have stated, the manilla does NOT have to be burned into the kitchen. You can goto the proper post, download, and install of the TP2 stuff after you flash. If it screws up, hard reset, you're back to square one.

Eventually having it burned in would be nice, but with the option to try without including it in the kitchen, I have no idea why anybody would want it there in the first place.

To be fair, I'm pretty sure Scott has been put under a lot of pressure by his following, myself included to throw stuff together in a hurry. All things considered, if I were in Scott's shoes, I'd be standing in my basement looking for any sign of water, screw everyone else (that's just me though).

Bob, you came up with a great idea with the excel spreadsheet. you have the kitchen, start knocking it out.

I came up with filling in the "tip" in the .xmls I should start paying my dues.

Redd, you've found all sorts of info on tp2, organize it hand it off.

As an IT Manager myself, I think it would be ridiculously unfair to expect one guy to do all the work while the everyone else stands around pointing out errors (I'm not pointing a finger) I'm saying a few of us pitch in a helping hand where necessary. I read this thread, and it looks like baby birds in a nest, waiting for a puked up worm.

Scott, I for one volunteer my services to make your life easier. If you need something done that is within my capabilities, I am more than willing to help out.

I wouldn't do anything until Scott gives the go ahead, he may actually find this idea insulting, who knows?

on a side note, I picked up this really cool *** toy this week. I'm not far from mid-life crisis now, and getting geared up for it. I bought this:

It's an incredible tool that is going to help me learn how to play guitar!
