Re: **31 Mar 09** UPD #20: SSK 1.6 - 3 New OS: 21038, 21042, WM 6.5 21198. 11 Total!!

Status of Scott's version of the Rhodium Manilla. After flashing 21042 and Rhodium, I applied all the cabs supplied by Redd214 and ran into the problems that I identified earlier. So I did a hard reset, and selectively applied the fixes with soft resets between each one and so far, I haven't experienced any of the issues I had earlier. In all cases, TF3D had to be shut down before applying the fix.

1) HTC New Contact Card.cab - Solved issue of attaching pics to contacts
2) show. program tab.cab - Partially solved Lack of Programs Tab, but by itself, after adding a new program, it sorta changed to a "START" tab and was stuck there. TF3d had to be closed to return to normal (2nd half of fix later)
3) HTC Rhodium Menu Enhancement.cab - added for no particular reason.
4) Replaced 22bb3b19_manila in Windows folder - don't remember purpose
5) DisableWorldClock.cab - Solved Time Zone Problem
6) Push Internet Fix.cab & xbmod internetportal fix.cab - Fixed Internet issues
7) MobileMatt FuzeBerry II v03.28.09.cab - My prefered theme -- However, when this was applied, the programs tab (fixed in #2) showed ALL programs.
WhiteFont_AllPrograms_Tab_v3.1b.CAB - This fixed the remaining problems with the Programs Tab, and allows you to add "selected" apps. If this is applied before the theme, you still get ALL programs. It needs to be applied AFTER the Fuzeberry theme. There is also a version with BlackFonts at this XDA Thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=487192
9) Applied HTCWeatherMasterRhodium2.0Beta1.CAB - Solved issue of selection of different cities. THIS ONE is made specifically for the Rhodium manilla. Version 1.3 will not work. The thread for this one is:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=480101

If you run into a RED screen issue when trying to change wallpaper, delete the hTCphotopicker.exe in the Windows folder. During my original load, I neeeded to do this. In this latest installation, it was unnecessary.

I did not apply the SMS fixes or any other ones because I don't use those functions.

Hope this makes life easier for other users.

Bob

EDIT: The only issue I have now is that the "REMOVE PROGRAMs" listing in SETTINGS, is blank. Nothing is added as I add programs. Again, I think this is a Rhodium issue, not a ROM issue.

Edit 2: Here is the reg edits to be able to remove the "locked" shortcuts from the new program launcher. Thanks to gamer007 for finding this over at XDA.
That can be fixed with a registry edit
Change "IsReadOnly"=dword:1 to "IsReadOnly"=dword:0
in the following"
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\Manila\ProgramLaun cher\0]
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\Manila\ProgramLaun cher\1]
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\Manila\ProgramLaun cher\2]
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\Manila\ProgramLaun cher\3]

I kept thinking I couldn't get TP2 to work, but it was simply their number. I have friends with more than one cell phone. When I reply to them or send a new text to them using a number that isn't listed in the "mobile number" field in contacts I receive a 'not available' error.

Anyone know how this can be fixed?
Put their 2nd mobile under the listing of "CAR Phone". If there is still a problem with SMS, use "Mobile"for the SMS link, and "Car Phone" for the voice link. Never tried it, just a suggestion.

Just because you see 6 on the pagepool page, doesn't mean that's what Scott used. Unless you actually load the ROM using "Browse", you don't really know what he used as the default. This was discussed earlier today in answer to a similar question.

See Posts starting with #2188 and follow the thread for a while because there are a number of posts.

Note to Scott: On your website, why not state what the default pagepool is for each ROM and Kitchen. Makes our life easier.

Bob

Scott,

Build 21189 downloads as 21198 on your CE OS kitchen page. Is this a typo?

Anyone having an issue with ActiveSync? After using the kitchen last night and 21042 with TP2 Manila my ActiveSync no longer is working. I’ve rebooted, tried setting it up again but it just keeps flashing “downloading”. The initial sync worked but sometime overnight quit syncing. The only other thing I’m not sure about is the radio. I’m using the Telus 1.04.05v. I’ll try flashing back to the Sprint v1.11.00F radio. Any thoughts?

Edit: Ok, Disregard this. Maybe Verizon was having issues in my area because all of a sudden it STARTED syncing again and I promise I didn’t make any changes. (That’s one thing I hate to hear from my users “No, I didn’t change anything… REALLY.”)

Saw this and was like "the RSOD?" 10 minutes later, I got it. Thanks for the tip.

I can not delete the htcphotopicker at all

Re: **31 Mar 09** UPD #20: SSK 1.6 - 3 New OS: 21038, 21042, WM 6.5 21198. 11 Total!!

im using SSK 1.6, after cooking the ROM, i have a issue with the camera.

i have an error "The file 'AlbumSearcher' cannot be opened. Either it is not signed.."

and when using the camer, i get another error "unable to start camera. Failed to open the GAPI display."

so how do i get the camera and album working? i have the file/folder "System - Album 2.5.1820.4127.2" in the OEM folder.
