The more I read this stuff, the more pissed I get. WTH didn't Microsoft/HTC, or whoever give us all this info someplace to start with? Or did they? Where/how are guys finding this information out? Reverse engineering?

Thanks a TON! This helped a lot!

And it is a small world indeed...I live in a small town called Celina...it's an hour away from Ft Wayne...about 10 minutes off of Rt 33 which you will probably take down.

My friend moved to Columbus and he works down in the Arena district...he gets free tickets to the Blue Jackets several times a season...and I usually get invited

Guys lets stay on topic. The thread is getting large as it is and no one wants to read it. I keep answering the same questions over and over. If the thread is smaller people can find things easier. I know we all get off topic from time to time and I am prolly the worse..... but....

Soon I will have an answer for all this ;c)

But for now.....

I'd love to take credit for what you're reading, but the fact is, phattooth was walking me through it, and I took notes so I could pass it on! I'm really glad that its easy to follow!

I'm not really asking who figured it out, I'm asking why Microsoft or HTC hasn't published this information in general. Assuming it wasn't, how are guys figuring this stuff out?

Ran into another problem with the 21015 build, PocketShield will not run. I get an error with something about not having a valid certificate:

Code:

The file ''pckshdControler' cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. If the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring this file.
Is there a way to just disable the certificate check?

Tried to install 2 different versions and a clean newly downloaded version, both through UC and manually, no dice.

Yeah, with all the information people are finding out, like doing the SDCONFIG, and other ROM/Kitchen stuff, where are they getting this information?

Is there some secret underground Microsoft TechNet for mobile developers? How are guys figuring out all the commands and how to do things? Are there inside sources leaking this information?
