Edit: This is my sabaatical... I am not working overnights anymore ;c) I got a solid core. Thats all I wanted.... Its all cake from here ;c)

Hehehehe... No, the OS ROM's are just like Radios... They are ROM's that happen to replace the entiure OS.

I am making a ROM to match the new CE OS. If you got a system that works for you know just back it up, fiund the RMO you flashed with so you can flash back if dsesired, flash my rom, install fresh, test. Decide....

If you want to go back just flash old rom and restore settings.

I think your time is better served doing what you do, and I'll contribute what I can. Before I go live with it, I'll send it to Batman and our skirt wearing friend Robin for a once over to make sure it is accurate.

When i first got this phone i had to use the stylus to make sure i tapped and it actually responded. I have been flashing no pun intended since i got my wife her mogul( Thank you Scott and Juicy). I think a picture by picture tutorial with complete instructions would be great. As much as these guys are great even i have the tendency to say use the search button. The instructions should also include problems that might occur during flashing and how to fix it. It is more complicated then just do this and do that cus problems do occur often like even though you give perfect instructions. I think PPl can agree i hope.

Started the morning with 10 flashes ahead of me.... Down to about two now...

After the next couple I zip and upload the new Rev C2 Core Kitchen and the new CE OS 21015 SYS Files as well as a new Bonus ROM based off the same.

Site is already prepared for the new files.

I did my flashing on Vista and I did not encounter any issues. Just make sure you download the MWDC 6.1 for Vista.

Totally agree!

Example:
You can say, use UC... but what happens when you place something in your SDConfig that hoses the whole process.... and you know you're gonna do it a couple times while testing. An easy way to recover from that (which there is) needs to be put with the "use UC" comment!

Man we could all pitch in and make a true wiki for the first few posts... then we could totally refer people to portions of that when the same questions get asked!

That would rock!

UPDATE #14.5: The Rev C Kitchen has been rebuilt and is functioning as intended now. I have tested on 5 of the 6 major sys files downloaded from my site. All flashes were fine! I will be working ona ROm to introduce the new SYS files. I will be an R4R Styled ROM.

Unlimited is not truly that though.... read the fine print... you will be charged if you go over 5GB in a months period.
So be careful, with that!

Otherwise they cannot tell if you are surfing from a phone or computer.

Or what about even unlocking the phone to begin with it says plug in usb and and run program oops. But the phone disconnected and it wont run it. There are countless problems that might happen. Sorry to mention Scott but example say some guy unlocks the phone and follows the instruction to flash his rom not knowing that Sott's latest build was corrupt while running windows 7 losing his internet. He would cry and then i would .

I suggest your next learning experience is learning SASHAMI (see post 1206 for links). Although I haven't LEARNED it yet, I am impressed with it's capabilities. It allows both automatic and manual installations of cabs, plus you can put the apps on the SD card, which you can't do with UC. After you learn it, you can teach me.

UUUHHHHH its on now. Yeah be careful unlimited is just a funny way of saying i got you sucka after you go over the cap. Mr. Tooth is right about that. I use phone as modem only when i am like at an airport or away from home. Besides that it should not be used as an everyday internet, hey that should be in the tutorial aswell.

I like your idea on including problems that might occur, but if you are the one flashing and have a problem and I don't.... kinda hard to write a proceedure for that ya know?

so, I've completed the text piece, and am going to put pretty pictures in my how to document. I'm waiting on approval from Scott and Ted before I post it. I want to verify accuracy and ease to use. Want a look at it?

Funny, I watched the video links posted for it, and am very excited about trying it out. Obviously without 1206 I wouldn't have found out about sushimi .. isn't there a movie based on room 1206?

Thats why you have to ask around and ask for user experience. If you write this expect people to ask you many questions about things that went wrong. If you do not have the answer well bleh. So its better to include all possibilities to avoid unnecessary questions later or well hehe. ](*,)

Here is the thing> BABY-STEPS I've written the proceedure for Flashing (pending approval) I added no extra info, just a step by step.

I agree that there should be an UNLOCKING proceedure also and UC etc. If they are maintained separately like chapters in a book or a lesson plan, then they will be easy to follow. If they are conglomerated then its a mind freak for noobs. I can say this because yes, I am a noob.
