Bored's GPS fix. I want to OEM it, but can't figure out how to do it correctly. I know you have it already (same with vnc) but you know, feed a man a fish..... teach him to fish....

1. System components cannot be removed easily like OEM but however you can auto deslect them. Open SYS folder and find option.XML and the rest will be obvious.

2. Think man Think! Grab the OEM from the old kitchen. Or.... IF there is no cab and its just an executable you will need to just dump the exe into \Windows\Start Menu\Programs\
use Initflashfiles to do this.
Look at an initflash file for any GPS app that I have and you will quickly see how initflash files work....

3. Why? Once you apply it you should not need it again and I dont recomend applying it over and over.

Let me see if my logic is on or off here. Once you apply Bored's gps fix. you can flash unlimited times and never have to do it again, unless you "clear storage" ?

What a kick in the ... I have bored's fix in UC since day 1 of flashing. Guess I will stop that.

Just took some of the OEMs from 1.6 and copied them into 1.5 and am cooking now.

Love this stuff and can't wait to get smarter and better at it!

Forgot to mention that the add remove programs was not showing stuff added to it in the 1.6 kitchened ROMs i would make.

OK, I'll save you from making a big one (don't tell anyone though). Went to unlock my new phone. Activated the unlock program. Could see it quickly go thru the bootloader screen and show "loading". Next thing I see is an "exit" box, saying "it couldn't make a connection" (even though I WAS connected thru ActiveSync). After numerous reboots (PC & PPC) I started thinking that I was having the same problem that caused me to return my old phone. I was getting ready to re-install Windows on my laptop and try again and the LIGHT FLASHED BEFORE MY EYES. I finally realized that the SD card I had in the phone was the same one I used to flash the old phone manually from the SD card and it had a RALPHIMG.nbh on it. So, once it entered the boot mode, it was trying to flash the ROM AND also the unlock program simultaneously. Once I realized that and removed the card, I finally got the unlock program to work properly.

LESSON LEARNED: Make sure that there is no .nbh file on the SD card you have installed.

PS - If someone was asking me to troubleshoot the issue...I never would have thought of an nbh being on the card as the problem

Scott, just wanted you to know that the SPRINT HD manila does not work when I used it with the 1.5C2 kitchen and 21109 OS. It hangs in the touch here to launch TF3D.

All else is rockin so far.
