Re: -+22 Mar 09+- UPD #18: SSK 1.6 Final Beta (20764.1.4.3) - See OP for details!

In need of more ram for my VZW TP I dropped GC Rom whom I followed over form xda and updated to ssk 1.5 B2B kitchen. As a new guy here there is a lot to read and I am trying. I find it hard to following the build talks here but I will keen reading and learing. I went with 21015 bld blindly and off the recommendation of post #1. I am sure I will find a faq somewhere but for a new person this is an overload and I am a sys tech eng :-). I am happy to have some much free ram!!!

Questtion and I did see Scott's answer in a searching on post #1405. I spent all weekend getting the device up on SSK and ready for work this week. The curtain I guess you call it that comes up when a call is connected does not work for me. I do a lot of conference calls and I like to go straight to mute on connect.

I did not know guys what a curtain was so call it newbie error when I cooked my kitchen. Again I will look for a faq for dumbies here. He mentioned that it would be better to rebuild the rom. I just do not have that time now. He mentioned there are more cabs (dailers) in a ssk folder can any one of these help my case to remove the curtain?

If not any suggestions outside of rebuilding would be appreicated?

THX!!!

I feel for you dude, I really do. One thing you might not know, but this thread actually had closer to 4500 posts total. A ton of stuff was deleted. Now as advice goes:

If you would like, I can send you a screen shot of what my preferences are in the buildOS for 21015. I don't like a bunch of extras, such as slide to unlock or the curtains either. I like my roms clean, simple and fast. anything I want to add and remove, I do it after flashing. PM me if you are interested.

I do have a written procedure for flashing that I will give you in a PM. It does have screen shots, but its not custom to 21015. Each build and kitchen have different selectable options.

you can flash and be functional in 20 minutes once you get the hang of it.

Not to answer for Scott, but he typically keeps 8 builds readily available for each kitchen, and 3 "pre-built" ROMS going.

Guess I worded that poorly...I actually meant I was looking forward to using 21028 as my main, since no one that I saw reported any stability issues with it, just fixable bugs.

Well, that surely changed the way I interpreted your post. I went back and re-read it! My bad!

Guys, Just heard on the news in VA that the Red River (goes thru Fargo) is going to crest 20 ft above Flood level tonite. Let's hope Scott is safe. Hopefully the floods won't reach him, but he may also be without power. Water + Electricity= Bad news.

Thx for the fam luv...I will shoot the pm now...

By the drift of this it must mean reflash is needed to get the curtain off. Yes I do like it clean no slider, etc.

Side Note: Anyone know whay the charge icon not go back to a battery when removed from the charger??

FARGO NEWS UPDATE!!!!
Associated Press/AP Online

Fargo city administrator Pat Zavoral estimated the city of some 90,000 residents was about 40 percent protected as of Monday.
Flood stage at Fargo is 18 feet, and the National Weather Service said the Red River had reached 25.3 feet Monday morning. The weather service said the river is expected to crest in Fargo early Friday at around 40 feet - a record. Officials said the dike protecting downtown Fargo was being raised to about 43 feet and an emergency levee south of the city was being completed.

This topic was discussed a number of pages back (I'll try to find the post number and edit this.

Which Icon are you using? Std battery, or Percentage over Battery

Bob, thanks for teh concern. I am safe. We are preparing for the worst. Most of the city is shut down to let workers go sandbag. National Gaurd is out and most major affected areas are locked down (me).

Just started raining so lets see what happens.....

Crosses fingers as he sits in his new house with no flood insurance ](*,)
