Question!
If a Verizon Touch Pro user wants to cook using the 1.6 kitchen...
Desires a "snappy" quick build, that has all of those goodies Scott has a knack for adding to his custom kickA*S ROM's. What build would be the ticket?

This is a trick question: Reading lost of posts...
at 1st thought maybe 21042, but it looks like lots of adjustments need to be made.

Scott, any suggestions? I'm very patient and can wait if need be for you to re arrange your kitchen to your personal likings, to keep that feel you have incorporated into the majority of your kitchens.

If its all good as is, what build might you suggest I try to build and flash next to be cutting edge.

Hmmmm, well.... Go with the R4R ROM if you dont want to cook. Otherwise, I would cook something like 210764, 20954, 20931, or 21042.
Those in my opinion, as well as 21038 are good builds.

I dont think there is anything wrong with 21042. I did however leave the Java SYS files in from Boreds kitchen so that will cause conflict if you pick the Java in the selections.

I preonsally run 21042 now. I like it alot. Each person will have there own preference and level of acceptance to SYS files. Start off with 20764 and I bet you will be happy and not go any further.

I don't think that is the OS that requires adjustments, but the TP2 that people are using with it.

Ok, here I go again... I know your going to think I am dwelling now but that is a perfect example of what I was talking about yesterday.... But anyways.... I let that go beoings how everyone thought I was mad even though I was laughing as I wrote.... I reall wasnt mad.....

But back on Task.... Bob, I got the pedometer program. Have you ever OEM'ed it before? And Should I classify it as a GPS app or a Sensor App?

Oh and if I was mad I wouldnt be re-basing the ROM as I type this ;c)

It says Choose Only One. MEaning if you do choose one its only one, dont pick like 5 of them expecting to be able to switch between manilas, ahahahaha. You are more than fine to not choose Manila if you dont like it. I use SPB Mobile shell myself other than when I am testing ROM's.

Im using 21109 with a 16MB Pagepool. This may be as good as my favorite 21015 , which I loved. This is very fast.

A couple issues I've noticed after cooking 21042.

1) Opera works great, but IE6beta will not load any page. It's like it can't see the network, but never gives an error.
2) Cosmetically, the network says it's "Sprint". I've actually had a case where it shows both Sprint and Verizon. I may go back to just using the Verizon only carrier, rather thenthe Generic.
3) I have a couple apps installed like Update PRL and Update Profile. Are these Sprint apps? Are they supposed to be there? If I run one by accident is it going to screw something else up?
4) Diamond TF3D Tweak utility does not work.
5) I need to disable the startup sound. I have tried Advanced Configuration Utility but with it set to disabled, it still sounds off. Phone reboots for backup each night twice. I don't wanna' get woke up by this.

Anybody have any fixes. I've read through the last few days posts and didn't see these mentioned. If they have been, I apologize.

21042 Base OS Bug report:

1) I confirm these apps are installed: the icons appear in Settings/System tab: they don't function when tapped.

2) Phone locked up charging on PC/USB connection: LED cycle in continuous loop after disco, and can't do anything but soft reset. I haven't had this happen on any other builds before this.

More to come if/when I find them.
