I have a fully configured 20931 running well on my TP. Do the performance enhancements that 1.6 offers make a significant difference, enough to scrap 20931 and start anew?

Juicy and anyone else, I suppose you can chime in if you have an opinion on it.

Thats to be seen. I have been runing this for a couple days now and think its a hair smoother.

i would recomend backing up what you have now and trying a ROM when I release them. I am going to release this as a beta to the touch Pro forum first. You guys know the kitchen and Rom's best so you know what to expect.

Quick Update

So far so good. Its hard for me to judge perforamnce on this ROM and OS Build though. I am used to my large memory phone that the smaller memory phone seems slower ;c( I am going to release a ROM for VZW and Sprint as well as the kitchen. I am releasing it as Beta. Although I have tested it on my Diamond I have not ran it on the Pro, hence the classification of Beta.

Being beta I am going to bundle it as a normal kitchen. You can play with it and provide feedback. The older Sys files SHOULD work with this new core so give them a try and report back if you have any issues. I do expect themes to be a "possible" issue because of the older way I did the today themes.

Either way, a couple more flashes to go and we can start testing.....

Couple more hours.... Looking at what I hope is a final flash now. Maybe one more. Got one or two minor issues.... Cant get animation to work properly and I wont be able to test Auto Run. I gave my MicroSD card to my wife and I am not even going to think of asking her to take it out of her ever so precious Treo pro she just got. That thing is pretty nice BTW.
