Re: ++25 Jan 09++ [VZW] SSK 1.2 - {CE OS 21109} Kitchen and ROM's!
Anyone know where I can get the replacement icons for at the top of the screen (bluetooth, battery, etc) that were in the 3.0 rom? I remember scott saying he was taking them out but I thought he mentioned putting them in a cab or something?

the replacement icons are from the tsowen custom task bar. you can get the cab from settings - ssk online.
about using Clear Storage to hard reset, there is one big advantage to doing it by holding the center button + soft reset button instead.... it doesnt overwrite your radio settings, and wont require calling *22899. Doing clear storage always requires reprogramming the radio afterwards.... PITA IMO. |

Just try searching for "taskbar icons" or "custom taskbar"... tons of results! then if you come up empty handed, post your question! Again, not trying to be an @ss... just saying, it's proper forum form. |

ok I'm hoping one of you more technically inclined individuals can point me in the right direction on this...
I got ahold of an alternate set of video drivers from another rom (ddi.dll), that are supposed to help out a lot with the TP's draw performance in landscape mode. However, the dll was posted as a "module" that was extracted from the XIP. If I understand correctly, this has to somehow be packed back into the XIP of Scott's kitchen if I want to cook it into my ROM, but this is way out of my field of know-how.... Google not being much of a help here either. Can someone here help point me in the right direction? |
