I just went and installed it. I have used it before but hadn't installed it yet.

I didn't notice any performance issues. Seems to run just as quick as the last one. GPS did lock noticeably quicker. Took less than 10 seconds for a first time lock on this flash!

BTW, both Live Searches seemed to be working independenlty, so if you have the space, you can try both out for a while. Ahhaa! Very good to know!

My guess about having two copies is because the first is baked into the ROM, just like you suggested... i would be very interested if you are successful with baking in the newer version, as well as any more feedback you may have after using it some more.

BTW,

I didn't notice any performance issues or degredation with 4.0. It's always hard to tell with an app that is downloading data though without a more scientific method, but it seemed the same as 3.5. Even the Birds Eye data loaded as fast as the standard aerial view.

WTF man... that sucks!

Can you just put the other one back together for the mean time, or do you have at least some sort of a spare phone to get you by?
