7. use gsfinder,total commander or File Explorer to navigate to \windows\ppst.exe (EVERYONE MUST COMPLETE THIS STEP FOR THE FIX TO TAKE AFFECT)

Try it out and also if you intent on installing the quick GPS feature do not install the lllboredlll QuickGPS.cab only the SdkCerts.cab for some reason on my setup it made things not work as well.

well hell, that did it. took maybe 2-3 minutes to lock, but google maps is on 7 sattelites.

Friends,

I am at work and beg pardon for not doing a thorough search regarding 1.5 beta 2. I installed the Stock Opera from the SSK folder as Scott suggested(after doing a hard reset as always). And have hard reset again. Opera will begin launching, and then close. I have hard reset 3 times.

what I haven't done is shut off my UC. Is anyone else having problems with Opera? If not, then I will assume that my UC that runs smoothly, must be putting something funky in the way of Opera. Thanks for not flaming me if this has already been posted.

Just flashed to 1.5b2. A couple of things I've noticed so far.
VZW Touch Pro

1. The volume up/down now starts with the Ring volume and not the system volume (noticed with 1.4 as well). May be just a reg tweek.

2. I have the same issue with Opera of launching then closing.

3. Strange issue with PIE as well. Can't seem to load any pages now. (Still able to active sync)
DISREGARD - Now it's working.

4. Finger scrolling is back inside of email messages (THANKS!!).

So far this all I've found. Great work Scott!!

Yes this seems to be happening to a couple of us, I am looking into this and I am sure that someone one will figure it out soon.

What I didn't say in my first post today is that this is an awesome piece of work Scott, really sweet. I am seeing the stability here that you were going for. On Sprint, GPS on com4 is working awesome. almost immediate lock.

When are we gonna get an SSK 1.5 signature plate??:thumbleft:

Cool cool!

I put finger scrolling back in. I do sorta like it but it masks the fluidity and precesion of the windows scrolling mechanism. Over all tis not bad though.

Opera... Yeah, not sure one that one. I will keep looking.
