Unless you run out of memory, this will be the fastest solution. I think you have the Sprint phone, so you get 64MB more memory than VZW (32K real, 32K less reserved for radio stack). I'd stick with zero until you run low on memory. Then try 32MB.

I am a NOOB and am curious as to why we wouldn't simply set the pagepool to 0 or dynamic if this allows the os to use as much memory as it needs.

Do you have a Sprint phone or Verizon phone?

If Sprint... go right ahead.
If Verizon... we dont have the same amount of physical memory that the sprint phones do, and a PP of 0 can lead to memory utilization issues.

This has been an ongoing issue with the DB he uses. I think I read somewhere about a fix over on XDA.

Google settings should be for Manual settings/Com4/4800 Baud
Then in the Main menu, clic on "USE GPS)

yes it shows locked.

if I use manual settings, google maps says "initializing GPS" for about 2 minutes, then the software says "could not communicate with GPS"

or something similar

I'll try to dig up a new wethear database tonight. If anyone has a direct link with working WA state let me know.
