Re: [ROM] [MAY.07.09] [[MightyROM5]] Windows® Phone

Hey guys, sorry if this has been covered but I'm wondering if it is possible to add the windows default lock feature as one of the panels on the home screen. I have lock set as long press end key but it just takes too long for me. I installed the showaco chome editor and I'm thinking it can be done through that but about an hour of searching hasnt really turned up a helpful how to use the damn thing thread.

I know I can use S2U2 but it is too unstable and makes anwering calls difficult at times. Trying to avoid that.

You can move around once your zoomed in on 2.5.. Simply just tap and hold the screen.. you will see a box popup in the upper left corner of the current location of your zoom.. then slide your finger on the screen in whatever way you want to move..

If you are using TF3D you should be able to remap one of the soft keys at the bottom to be a "lock" key by using the attached cab.

Click Start, then "Lock" is the bottom-left onscreen button.

Why?

Well the Facebook app is better than the Album upload since you can Tag people, etc from your phone.

The 0.16 version is out, and supposedly the full release will be next week.

As For YouTube? Well.....not sure there.
The full release is already out.. its on XDA site.. But like mike said.. There is a ton of people that like 2.5 and you cant switch back to it if 3 is cooked in.. Makes it easier to cook 2.5 and just put the cab for 3 out there for anyone that wants it..

Here is the facebook app link.

I prefer 3 over 2.5 but I think cooking in 2.5 and linking to the v3 cab will satisfy the largest number of people IMHO.

Re: [ROM] [MAY.07.09] [[MightyROM5]] Windows® Phone

+1 Awesome ROM Mike.

Recap of new ROM issues and observations - Props to all who posted

Mike has changed his deployment methodology and is now shipping a self extracting executable. If you want to manually update then use Winzip/WinRAR/etc to extract the contents to a temporary folder and proceed normally.

Remember to hard reset after updating the ROM:
Clear Storage from Settings->System
or
Simultaneously press power/volume down/d-pad center/reset button

Change Page Pool:
Use winzip/winrar/etc to extract the contents of the ROM distribution self extracting executable to a temporary folder and proceed normally using the page pool changer.

Revert to stock dialer re-skin/disable S2A:
Use Advanced Config to disable the dialer skin
or
Change HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Security/Phone/Skin/Enable from 1 to 0 and soft reset

Camera preview not working:
Take a picture while preview is black and soft reset - temporary fix until next release

Keyboard Lagging:
Try changing these registry keys
HKEY_CURRENT_USER/ControlPanel/keybd/InitialDelay=1
HKEY_CURRENT_USER/ControlPanel/keybd/RepeatRate=1
And turn off your keyboard auto complete settings

Quick GPS not working:
Soft reset and re-open

Photo album upgraded from 2.5 to 3.0:
Pictures won't rotate according to orientation and when zooming in or out it overlaps and changes orientation momentarily

Mike is polling to decide to downgrade back to 2.5 - post your preference if you care

Media Player stops playing when device is manually suspended:
Known issue - no fix yet - the following registry changes don't work:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Microsoft/MediaPlayer/Preferences/PlayInBackground=1
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Microsoft/MediaPlayer/Preferences/UnattendedPlayback=1

Applications Intentionally Left Out to reduce ROM Size:
MSN Apps

Applications accidentally left out and will be added back in next release:
Voice Recorder

Titanium weather plugin and CHome editor:

Customize titanium (WM6.5 interface) to add contacts and weather:

Re: [ROM] [MAY.07.09] [[MightyROM5]] Windows® Phone

Techboss, that's quite helpful for folks who don't feel like reading 1236 pages. It does make the rom seem like it has a lot of issues and may scare some folks off from using it. The truth of the matter is the issues won't affect (or bother) the vast majority of folks and when it's running on your phone it really is a beautiful thing.

Always nice to know just what to expect when you download and flash though so thanks have been given.
