The screen turns off by itself (usually after 30 seconds of non-physical activity; i.e. no touching of the screen or buttons) and it happens regardless of whatever you're power settings may be (Start > Settings > System > Power > Advanced).

For example, I have mine set to turn the screen off after 1 minute of no activity, but it still does it in 30 seconds.

Furthermore, in apps such as TomTom, the screen will shut off after 30 secs, forcing me to hit the power button and thus kill my GPS connection briefly, the Voice Navigation also doesn't work when the screen is off. This happens once more regardless of whatever I have the power settings set at.

It renders a lot of apps unusable, and can also be frustrating when doing things such as answering calls and trying to enter digits on the dialer (where it seems the screen turns off after merely 5-10 seconds of no activity rather than 30 elsewhere).

The other MR's never had this problem, but as quoted above, Mike says hes looking into it / working on it.

And yes heydjbobby74, I've donated before, and I'll gladly donate again if Mike can patch this up for us.
welll, Sad to hear that for ya, Mine shuts off perfectly, I hope you get it Ironed out.....I just wish sprint TV and numpty physics worked, but this roms great for me otherwise.

I did exactly as was stated. Mine still has not updated to my city at all. It has been showing Woodway on the other screens, which has a date of April 2009. The main screen still says "Setup Needed" and "Connecting to AccuWeather". Is there anything else I should try?

Edit: It finally updated. It really took a long while. Having problems with the radar though. Anyone else having problem with the radar?

I was hoping the same thing. I would but I don't know how. FYI, I also deleted the other 2 regs one in the Bubble folder and the other in the Toast folder that said TitleThemeBorder. I haven't had any ill effect and everything seems to be working great between the conflicting programs. No pop up screens so far.

Re: [July 7th, 2009] MightyROM6 -- www.MightyROM.com

Does anyone know if there is a registry edit for the HTC dialer to revert back to the home page in TF3D after you are finished using the phone. Currently after I hang up the phone the dial pad just stays on the screen. I could have sworn that on Mikes previous ROM's it would revert back to home page in a few seconds.

Angry Re: [July 7th, 2009] MightyROM6 -- www.MightyROM.com

I am running the STOCK (OEM) Sprint ROM, and I also have the screen shutoff (screen goes black) after 30 sec. Again, the phone does not shut off, just the screen goes off (including backlight)

The power settings do NOT stick. I dont think this has anything to do with OEM ROM vs MightyROM. I was searching for a solution on this forum for my screen shutoff issue, and saw this thread, so thought I would add my 2 cents. I will gladly donate if someone can figure out this nightmare!

So no one knows?

Is the security flaw with Exchange Server in MR5 corrected in MR6?
