They work fine for me too. Did you change your dialer? Also, curious about what radio you're using?

i am using iconsoft phonex for dialer... but i disabled and reset device...

then was at the default windows dialer and when i press ##786# ,,, nothing happens

i am running the default radio that was shipped on sprint phone... was going to try the different radios but needed # commands to work to judge signal quality

Please someone correct me if I'm wrong but I do not believe they will work if your using the default windows dialer. Just FYI

ur right, on copper the codes dont work on the default dialer bud as you mentioned, but they DID work when i was on mighty rom and using slide 2 answer dialers(default in mightyrom) which were cooked into the rom.

i am using mighty ROM not copper and the basic windows dialer to prevent the delay on incoming calls and the ## codes arent working...

i know its not the ROM being that u guys can use them... so it has to be something on my device....hhmmm

I have the same problem (using most recent Mighty, not Copper). About 90% of the time, after my phone goes into standby, I can't get it to fully recover by pushing the power button. I just get the backlight and nothing else. A soft reset usually doesn't work. Instead, I have to pull the battery out and reset that way.

I thought maybe I was unaware of a locking feature built into the Rom.

Anyone else seeing this?

No...that's really odd. Have you tried a hard reset? Also, what modifications have you made to power management? Have you installed anything battery tweaks?
