Alright. You and I both bypass the windows method of setting notifications. I only set one notification, my incoming text message with a reg edit. I wonder what would happen if you set nothing at all and leave it the way Mike set it? Has anyone done this? Are you having problems?

Originally I did it the exact same way you did, but did it with a BATCH of .wav files. 1.wav, 2.wav and just replaced the 1.wav with whatever sound I wanted for the day. I still have that in my SDCONFIG file to create entries for 1-20, but Alarmpal was quicker and easier to explain to the masses. (With the added benefit of repeating alarms)

There are absolutely more elegant ways than my "workaround" for sure. But to explain it to 1000 people.....

I can honestly say I Never messed with Mikes settings. I actually liked all the settings he has and I got the corrupted ringtone issue... it started with not receving text messages and I went into notifications and BAM, the file you have selected is corrupted or not available, please select another file.

But I can tell you for a fact now.. If you select Alarm-Dawn for all notifications you won't eget any corruptions and they work everytime.

Right now I'm testing Compusmurfs method using alarm pal.

See PM. But if you don't mess with it, you should be fine.

If you have ANY software that messes with it, maybe even different ringtones per contact, phoneweaver, phonealarm, etc. You COULD run into the 'fake corruption' issue.

Oh, and as mentioned before and as Rico found out. DON'T install the DIY In call recorder and wavedev.dll trick.

Anyone who has flashed MR5, flashed Juicys last ROM before or after MR5...

I am trying to compare the technical issues..

Makes me wonder if there are any differences in that file vs the others? different bitrate?

Juicy, Copper and MR5 are all based on the same core collaboration. (That was the plan anyway)

Keep in mind, we're still dealing with prerelease code here.

6.1 releases are still going to be more stable. Walk on the cutting edge of tech and you're gonna bleed every now and then. But that's 1/2 the fun, right? hahaha

I also found the when I used MyPhone by Microsoft, everything that I had syned previously duplicated. I think you need to use that to back up OR say outlook, but not both. What a pain to have duplicates of EVERYTHING in your contacts and calendar.

Anyway, I knew this wasn't a ROM issue. I have been running this now for several days with not too many issues. I get lockup on texting but if I let it sit for a about 30 seconds or so, it catches up. I don't like the way it closes out from any menu option once done and you need to re-enter, but again ALL 6.5's are doing this. I will just keep lurking and wait for any updates.
I'm using Pocket Informant on this rev with 0 problems. Works like a dream. What version of PI are you running?
