Remember to backup the config_operator.txt file and move back afterward like Vernox mentioned.
I overwrote the files because I didn't see a need to delete them but ill give that a go and see what happens.

Just having one issue with the ver1.8 FullScreen Player. When its done playing videos the screen goes blank and there is no preview or popup menu. Basically, VideoPlayer.exe doesn't close and return to HTCAlbum.
Finally the question: What parts of DShow and/or Fullscreenplayer need to stay as files and dont work as modules?
Thanks for any help.
what are modules all about anyway? never quite understood what the whole "files to modules" converter thing was for, or whether I ought to be using it...?

Re: [ 11-10 ][ v4.2 ][ 6.5.x / 6.5 / 6.1 ] Calkulin's Visual VGA Kitchen & ROMs

I managed to cook a very fast & stable 23056 rom with akeo's latest Manila 2.5 port, and almost everything is running perfectly - so exciting to have a nearly bug free 2.5 on my TP. So fat the only catch on my build is I can't create a new calendar appointment. I'm certain it's due to a missing Leo dependency and will continue to work on that, but there's a major gap(s) in my VK cooking knowledge as I'm a noob:

how do I deal with .dsm & .rgu files for Calk's kitchen?

Many of the posted EXTs from the latest Leo dumps have thses files, and I'm not sure how to deal with them correctly. I'm guessing I want to turn them into a different file format since I never see those in VK EXTs...

Thanks for the help!

When I have a proper working version of my ROM I'll make it available to anyone who wants to give it a spin.

Re: [ 11-10 ][ v4.2 ][ 6.5.x / 6.5 / 6.1 ] Calkulin's Visual VGA Kitchen & ROMs

EXT: 6.5.X
XIP: 23506
SYS: 23506

I got the Verizon provision to work. Now I have another problem. I can't get Titanium to start. If I goto into the settings and enable the "Window Default", all i get, is well, nothing. I see the settings program as if it was still there, but I can't click anything. Also, I can't open the phone. I click it and nothing happens.

hxxp://somken.com/cublip/tp/edit.erv is the current erv I have.
The reason so many things are disabled is becasue I'm on the Verizon TP and it doesn't have a lot of RAM.

I may be completely off base on this one, but I believe that what you are talking about are packages for the old style kitchen. There is a tool to convert them into the new style package. Unable to look it up right now, but I think that's your issue.
New package style contains the following:
Files folder
_skip
App.dat
App.reg

If you you run the kitchen pretty straight meaning you don't have to change anything you should have about 37-39 megs free using tf3d and about 46 free megs free using TiTANIUM. Its hard to know whats mising if you are using someone elses erv file.
This kitchen is pretty easy to use but I would suggest trying SSK kKitchen for VerizonTouch Pros and seeing what works and what doesn't then using Caulk's kitchen to fine tune your device because the updates are more frequent here.

If you use the 6.5 kernal for your CDMA TouchPro, then you don't need to be concerned about modules. I think you just need to click the 'real wm 6.5 aku' box in the kitchen (though I'm not 100% since my lowly diamond is still stuck with the 6.1 kernal).

?? I was just going to ask this question. I'm on a vzw tp and I have no where near the free memory you are talking about. I disabled almost everything in the kitchen except manila and menu enhancements, a few apps, etc. but I only have about 18-20MB free. This is when running manila after I scroll through all the tabs, update weather, etc. I can't even browse with opera for more than a few pages before my device resets because of no memory. The cooked rom I'm running right now is only 113MB so I'm not sure how else I can make this thing any lighter.

Now, I do have quite a few apps installed - are these taking up my available memory?

If I post my erv file can someone who knows what they are doing help me out?

Yes, that's exactly what I'm trying to sort out.

I played around with some of the tools in Calk's 4.2 Kitchen, but was unable to figure out how to get the old style packages updated.

Once I can do this, I'm sure I'll be very close to a stable 23506 build with Manila / Leo 2.5.19202525.0 suitable for daily use (by my standards, anyway).
