Re: [ 11-10 ][ v4.2 ][ 6.5.x / 6.5 / 6.1 ] Calkulin's Visual VGA Kitchen & ROMs
I managed to cook a very fast & stable 23056 rom with akeo's latest Manila 2.5 port, and almost everything is running perfectly - so exciting to have a nearly bug free 2.5 on my TP. So fat the only catch on my build is I can't create a new calendar appointment. I'm certain it's due to a missing Leo dependency and will continue to work on that, but there's a major gap(s) in my VK cooking knowledge as I'm a noob:
how do I deal with .dsm & .rgu files for Calk's kitchen? Many of the posted EXTs from the latest Leo dumps have thses files, and I'm not sure how to deal with them correctly. I'm guessing I want to turn them into a different file format since I never see those in VK EXTs... Thanks for the help! When I have a proper working version of my ROM I'll make it available to anyone who wants to give it a spin.

EXT: 6.5.X
XIP: 23506 SYS: 23506 I got the Verizon provision to work. Now I have another problem. I can't get Titanium to start. If I goto into the settings and enable the "Window Default", all i get, is well, nothing. I see the settings program as if it was still there, but I can't click anything. Also, I can't open the phone. I click it and nothing happens. hxxp://somken.com/cublip/tp/edit.erv is the current erv I have. The reason so many things are disabled is becasue I'm on the Verizon TP and it doesn't have a lot of RAM. Last edited by somken; 11-15-2009 at 09:20 PM. |

This kitchen is pretty easy to use but I would suggest trying SSK kKitchen for VerizonTouch Pros and seeing what works and what doesn't then using Caulk's kitchen to fine tune your device because the updates are more frequent here. Last edited by vernox701; 11-15-2009 at 10:26 PM. |

If you use the 6.5 kernal for your CDMA TouchPro, then you don't need to be concerned about modules. I think you just need to click the 'real wm 6.5 aku' box in the kitchen (though I'm not 100% since my lowly diamond is still stuck with the 6.1 kernal).

Now, I do have quite a few apps installed - are these taking up my available memory? If I post my erv file can someone who knows what they are doing help me out? |

I played around with some of the tools in Calk's 4.2 Kitchen, but was unable to figure out how to get the old style packages updated. Once I can do this, I'm sure I'll be very close to a stable 23506 build with Manila / Leo 2.5.19202525.0 suitable for daily use (by my standards, anyway). |
