Re: [ 11-10 ][ v4.2 ][ 6.5.x / 6.5 / 6.1 ] Calkulin's Visual VGA Kitchen & ROMs

Having trouble creating a ROM in the kitchen. Trying to create a 6.5.1 ROM for a Verizon TP.

XIP and SYS builds set to 23506, EXT build set to 6.5.X

Craps out during the copying of the files. Getting a bunch of overwrite warnings, stops in the middle of those. Gives a a pop up window about a runtime error due to an unexpected termination for platformrebuilder.exe.

Saw one post about virus checker software, not sure how that effects a ROM build, but disabled it anyways to no avail.

First time using Calkulin's kitchen, but have used SSK Visual Kitchen successfully.

Sounds like a bad EXT but I could be wrong.

Someone posted this awhile back and I can't remember who to thank, but keep everything the same in your kitchen and change carrier to GENERIC. You'll be all set and enjoying 23506 in no time. This hasn't affected my vzw tp at all as far as data/calls and I didn't install any carrier cabs afterwards.

BTW - if anyone knows why the Verizon Carrier selection is messing up the build please let us know. Thanks.

No prob, it works great and yes im using the htc client, and i will post the build as soon as i can get into my server at home. I add this regedit to the app.reg in the htcmessagingclient.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Jataayu\Messaging\MMS\ Profile\CDMA]
"Name"="Sprint"
"SendLimit"=dword:0000012C
"GUID"="{F079757F-9357-4000-8305-9CA6B9B6CAEC}"
"IPAddress"=""
"MMSCURL"="http://63.215.195.152/servlets/mms"
"ConnectionType"=dword:00000002
"Port"=dword:00000050
"Lock"=dword:00000000
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Jataayu\MMS\Profiles]
"ActiveProfileCDMA"="Sprint"
"DefaultNetwork"=dword:00000000

I am working on getting the client to pull up 10 digit numbers instead of emails when sending a new account.

I've had this kitchen randomly delete modules and corrupt files when platformrebuilder crashes... one of them was in OEMXipKernel (kinda important).

Anything look iffy to you all: the fact that Manila Options are being compiled before the ManilaBaseEXT. That makes for some weird overwrites.

Re: [ 11-10 ][ v4.2 ][ 6.5.x / 6.5 / 6.1 ] Calkulin's Visual VGA Kitchen & ROMs

!!!MMS!!! is working with Sprint!! Simple fix after hours of working. Simply slide to the messages tab, click menu, click settings, click options. click menu, click mms server. click default server, change server name to Sprint. no IP address. Port number 80. Server Address http://63.215.195.152 connect via data network, and finally and what seemed t to be what fixed it was to change wap version to none. I was able to send MMS to verizon and sprint so far. Will continue to test. If any one cares to give this a try and let me know if it works for them!
