Re: [ 10-13 ][ v4 ][ 6.5.1 / 6.5 / 6.1 ] Calkulin's Visual HTC Kitchen & ROMs

Noone had replied, but just in case someone is interested I found the file I was looking for. Let me know If you want the modified EXT for your kitchen cause Opera9.5 works quite well now!

I can figure out the app.dat, to move the file, with no problem but whats the correct file to edit in the kitchen? How do I build that entry into the opera:config?
EDIT:Added "opera.ini" to the zip file. I just modified it through opera:config and put the modified file in with the "userjs.js" file. Make sure you close Opera, then Copy both to "\Windows\Opera9\" folder.

Now I can download Calk's ROMs & SYS Folders directly to my phone! This was important to me because Sprint is often faster than the public WiFi I frequent

Has anyone else tried Calk's 23069? Thanks for that Calk. I like!
For instance, I gotta say that I like some of the fine-tuning they did in the settings menus. Everything fits the pages MUCH MUCH better now.
Also, It seems like the memory management and battery life are slowly working their way back to the middleground with each incremental release!

Still curious about those Opera files as well.

I havent hard reset to try and fix it but when i flash i hard reset after a new rom anyway. But now it hasnt done it since i posted this mabey i just needed a soft reset??

I'm going to take a wild guess and say no.
But let me get home and look through the 9.7 EXT. I've never used 9.7. Does it integrate with Manila2.1's Internet Tab well or no?

one thing ive noticed is that when the phone is starting up, is that the notifications program (the one that pops up when you click the taskbar) pops up when turning on, maybe this can be fixed and make the phone boot faster!

Thx for taking the time. May try that soon to see if it's worth it for my needs.

..Opinion..
IMHO, Calkulin is the man. I'm still on 23060 because it's so stable & don't want to take all the time to add all my cab's back into another kitchen (test, etc), even though I check most of his as well... Last ROM was 170 MB & then I ran another 25 cabs & then customizations after due to kitchen errors with so many cabs! (Need to search for a good kitchen building guide link)

First ROM/Kitchen I've stayed more than 10 days on ever. Personally love the ROMs LOADED heavy, which usually brings out the bugs..
3 must haves for me.. Second today with Iphone Today as a 'programs' toggle button for all my 100+ applications (the manila programs tab just doesn't cut it, nor does scrolling down through ALL apps in a vertical column list for 5 min). Battery.exe (multi colored top battery guage, don't know how to add to kitchen.. perhaps cab up just one exe?) Use Wktask; with these changes: 1. uncheck: [xbutton skins (too see clock) & show battery gauge], 2. xbutton=close all (just tap clock instead) 3. offsett L=0 & R=250 (to see the most on top task bar).

Opera 9.7 (for multiple tabs & downloads), IE for voice command/simple flash & putting some key favorites in 'manila programs' or iphonetoday for single click to a fav radio staion/etc.., Skyfire for streaming video/*TV/Movies/heavy flash, all work great. No other major show stoppers on email, 'new' contacts, calling or other apps.

.... waiting for 23071 to make a jump again myself... (patiently anxious ) and then probably reflash again in a few days after some of bugs get worked out by MS after significant changes are made. Hoping to soon get out of the ROM burn, endless loop... very close to done now after 5 months!! Voice, video & data finally all easily usable & functional on one device!!

Thanks to Calkulin for all the great contributions! ... sorry for long post..
