I guess I just have to wait for the experimental GUI to get fine tuned before I can expect anything like this to work.
Both, HTC and MS, work for me. If I click on the bar to the left of the icons, MS task appears, but if I click the icons, then HTC appears. This is using EXT: 6.5.1, XIP: 23064 and SYS: 23420.

No word yet on 23071 for this kitchen?

I have read that this is a convergence of the different ROM builds.

Re: [ 10-13 ][ v4 ][ 6.5.1 / 6.5 / 6.1 ] Calkulin's Visual HTC Kitchen & ROMs

I have not been able to validate PocketShield with the last two Calkulin ROMs that I have used. Is there something in this ROM (currently using the spd version) that may prevent their site from recognizing the phone? Anybody else having this problem?

TIA,
tsp

Talking Re: [ 10-13 ][ v4 ][ 6.5.1 / 6.5 / 6.1 ] Calkulin's Visual HTC Kitchen & ROMs

I have an interesting issue while using this kitchen

I use a bluetooth headset almost everytime I make a call (I hate the handset as an actual phone)

It happens when I realize the wrong number has been dialed or the like (which also happens on occasion that it redials instead of dialing a selected number)

When I hit the end call button or the hard end button, the phone will think it has ended the call BUT the bluetooth headset is still in the call and the person can still pickup and talk. The headset cannot end the call and the soft and hard buttons also do not work.

The only way to end the call is to actually reset the phone or wait after the other end hangs up.

This seems to happen most if I end the call between dialing and when the headset establishes an active connection. (from the passive state)

I have 3 headsets:
Plantronics Voyager Pro
Voyager 815
Motorola H700
Any ideas?

Also, I LOVE THIS KITCHEN!!!!!!!

Thank you for all of your hard work Calkulin.

Best Regards,
Osiris

Re: [ 10-13 ][ v4 ][ 6.5.1 / 6.5 / 6.1 ] Calkulin's Visual HTC Kitchen & ROMs

I found something useful for Opera9.5 users.

I had noticed certain sites like 4shared, mediafire, etc were not displaying properly & not allowing me to DL from them like they had on the Juicy8 ROM I had come from. So I explored...

This userjs.js file (Thanks Juicy47)seems to fix the problem but I do have to go into opera:config -> User Prefs -> User JavaScrpt file location and type it in every time. I've been using "\Windows\Opera9\userjs.js"

I can figure out the app.dat, to move the file, with no problem but whats the correct file to edit in the kitchen? How do I build that entry into the opera:config?
EDIT:Added "opera.ini" to the zip file. I just modified it through opera:config and put the modified file in with the "userjs.js" file. Make sure you close Opera, then Copy both to "\Windows\Opera9\" folder.

Now I can download Calk's ROMs & SYS Folders directly to my phone!
Attached Files
File Type: zip userjs+ini(Opera9.zip (4.4 KB, 2 views) Click for barcode!

Sorry, I don't use MShell. Did you get to the point of Hard Reset or Re-flash yet? or are you gonna hold out for some advice?

-----------
Has anyone else tried Calk's 23069? Thanks for that Calk. I like!
For instance, I gotta say that I like some of the fine-tuning they did in the settings menus. Everything fits the pages MUCH MUCH better now.
Also, It seems like the memory management and battery life are slowly working their way back to the middleground with each incremental release!

Still curious about those Opera files as well.

Same here - HTC notification enhancements works just fine.

This is a known bug with the Tachi dialer. If you wait until just after the call connects, then hang up, the phone won't freeze like it does if you hang up before the connection is made.
