EDIT: i checked it and it is at 6, but thats what the pagepool app says, ive heard that depending on the rom, that the pagepool changer app displays a certain number, and even if you change it, it wont change....

i changed the pagepool and yes, the rom was fast! nothing compared to what i was runing at pp=6!

What number exactly did you set the pagepool to?

I'm kinda new to the whole pagepool changing. I know how to do it and it does make the phone seem pretty fast. My question though is....Does this have an affect on battery life?

Yes and no, yes in the sense of when your playing with your phone it will drain a tad bit faster (aka in menu's or scrolling), but nothing noticeable. And if your really worried about that try PP of 0 its makes it dynamic so it only raises it when you need it instead of all the time.

Also most rom's defualt pagepools @ 6-10 because Verizon's TP has less ram and max out extremely easily when the PP is above 20. If you have the non gimped TP you should beable to raise it to 58 maybe 64 if your lucky. I've found 52 is the fastest, but its hard to tell from 32-52 which is really faster.

The only ones that may work are Alltel and Telus because they use a gateway setting in Arcsoft, which when converted, is the IP address in messaging client. Cricket, Sprint & Verizon don't have a gateway settings, so without that, I don't know what goes in the IP address section. I've tried a couple of different IP addresses and best I can do is saying it sent and no one receives anything, so until we find the right IP for those carriers, it's not going to work

f.y.i. I switched from the 6.1 ROM to the 23064 ROM and my 'regular' battery life came back. I'm not saying necessarily it was the ROMS fault as I may have installed something but I feel a lot better now. Phew!!! Now to revert back to the latest Sprint radio

I was asking because I set my pagepool to 24 before flashing and It is pretty fast but It seems like my battery is draining way too fast..
Would you happen to know if installing the faster 3D graphics cab has an affect on battery life?

Maybe a donation would encourage him to respond. Remember, this is a hobby for Calkulin. He doesn't owe anyone help. By your comment, it seems like you're demanding help. But, to answer your question, I've been using the wifi router for hours and did not have any disconnection issues. As far as battery drainage, I've accepted the fact that this is a data intensive smart phone so I expect no more than 4-6 hours of battery life. I just carry and extra battery, a car charger, a charger for work and home. Also, the latest kitchen is perfect. I have no issues whatsoever. I've put this rom together and it works just fine. It a 6.5 rom 21867
