Re: [ 9-16 ][ v3 ][ 6.5.1 / 6.5 / 6.1 ] Calkulin's Visual HTC Kitchen & ROMs

Ok, so it was "file explorer extension" that was breaking all of my roms... does anyone know if there is an older version that could be droped in that would work? Also I have droped a version of TouchFlo into the rom in an attempt to regain the compact qwerty on the niokan89 keyboard... but I still ended up with "full qwerty" as the only option? Can some one tell me what all has to be in the Rom for the compact option to be there?

All you need to do is drop in the Biotouch.dll into the Windows directory, soft reset and the extra options will show up in the menu. I just did it on 23049 for the heck of it to make sure it still works

Re: [ 9-16 ][ v3 ][ 6.5.1 / 6.5 / 6.1 ] Calkulin's Visual HTC Kitchen & ROMs

i tried your rom update and it worked well, however there was some stuff i didnt want on it and stuff i wanted not on it so i used your kitchen to make my own rom, however i cant take your rom off and put the one i mad eon it as my phone claims my phones battery is on its last bit of energy, i turned the phone off for two hours to let charge turned on teh phone and it still thinks its on its last bit.. the battery icon ontop says its full but when you go to system stuff and battery from settings that is where it claims my battery is extremely low.. i know the batterys full. so how can i force it to allow me to update the software on it.

^ looks like you didn't properly install the Battery drivers. (i did that the first time, )

start the phone in bootloader mode (hold power and volume down while doing a soft reset), and get to the tri-color screen. then flash. should work.

Re: [ 9-16 ][ v3 ][ 6.5.1 / 6.5 / 6.1 ] Calkulin's Visual HTC Kitchen & ROMs

Looks great. Just some quick observations...

Installed:

- nueCPL-Power (build 296) , Backlight Timeout - does not offer input options.
- I found a way to get to the original WindowsMobile Backlight Timeout settings through Opera. In Opera, click on bottom right corner of screen (to bring up time) then click on time. It will always close Opera, but about 1 out of 3 attempts it will bring up a nice graphic of sync status, power, volume, date/appointment etc. Click the power/battery symbol brings up the regular Backlight settings.

- nueCPL-Power (build 296) , Backlight Brightness -The highest level of brightness is actually one level below the highest level of brightness the system gives. That could potentially give anyone using it in their rom a "perceived" power advantage when comparing against other roms that are actually using full brightness.

- also not specific to this ROM but perhaps worth mentioning for sake of being thorough- after flashing rom built by different author, "SSK 2.6.5 Pro Build 23017 RUU R4R2", no programs will install to storage card, (everything else with the card functions as normal, & gigs of free space). No one else has responded on this problem, so it's very likely just unique to my phone or card. The problem has now lived through 3 ROMs built by different authors.

- It's an extra/unnecessary click having to minimize programs first to get to running tasks list in order to switch tasks or close tasks. Perhaps that's a very easy change I can figure out to do myself.
