TIP: I don't know about you guys but, I install all of my games & most apps are saved on my Storage card. To make Rom changes easier, I have a folder where I save all my game short cuts & one for app shortcuts. After I'm done flashing, I copy & paste them back in my programs folder so that I don't have to reinstall any of those programs or re-create shortcuts. This also prevents having to re-register everything!

Cuts the re-establishing process time down tremendously! Trust Me.

well, i'm gonna give 4.2 another try and see. but everything about it is great so far except for that error. it's really irking me lol

ya that works for apps that don't need registry entries to be saved.
You can use cab, XML, RGU in personal OEM or backups to save reg entries

EDIT: TweetyBear, try a hard reset, I dont have heat issue... Also remember if you are connected USB the unit will charge up making it hot.

4.2 is where its at. 4.1 replaced 3.4 as my favorite rom so far but this current one is definitely the best and I must say that this is the best battery performance I have gotten out of this phone so far.

Which is why I stated "most apps", I haven't had any problems with the games so far, it took me all of 15 mins to get all my stuff back on & now, I have time to test drive this bad boy. No need to be up all night now!

For the blue files, "memory_32.png" and "settings_32.png" could not be copied over untill I renamed the original file in windows folder.

I also cabbed the blue zip files, but less files took, so I just copied all them over.

I no longer have the battery indicator showing in the title bar from the home screen. Was that removed in 4.2?

Question....

Can Background for all cab be used with this rom? I have had bad experiences with that program before, but I want to use it here. I have my wallpaper on the home screen, but it doesn't change the "RED" on all other tabs. Suggestions please.

no more heat issues for me after numerous hard resets lol i'm anal like that. i flashed from pc like 3 times and hard reset couple times after each flash
