I get the same message as all the other cabs I have:

"Installation was unsuccessful. The program or setting cannot be installed because it does not have sufficient system permissions."

Wasn't there a way around this?

I just loaded up this ROM. Looks good. Any way of making the fonts bigger?
I loaded up some cabs just fine. I tried one and got that "I don't have permission error".

Just to let you guys know, universal arcsoft is already included which works on most carriers, and that is why you guys are getting errors while trying to install arcsoft, for anyone else trying to install another cab file, then try doing a reset, and try again or the cab file was not properly made to support to hardware.

Re: [ROM](August 3,2009) MERDIN'S WMPro 5.1 CE OS 5.2.230(Build 230 MerdinH)

Love the Roms Merdin!!!
Three questions!!
1) Each time we get a new rom should we flash it only once, twice, or more times before we use it?
2) After the flash how many hard resets should we do before we use it ?
3) Should we wait for all the customizations have finished and we see the main screen with the time before each hard reset or flash?

Last question which is probably stupid why?
Thanks a Million

Is anyone else having trouble connecting to wifi with the latest ROM? Mine keeps shutting off by itself. When I turn it on, it connects to wifi for a second and then the wifi turns itself off.

1), 2), 3), different schools of thought on this one but I've always flashed let the customizations run through, hard reset, let the customizations run again then reset and you should be good to go.
4) Add your own flavor of extra tweeks, i.e. apps, skins, and away you go.
5) Thank the chef, provide any feedback, and help any others if you can.

Hi davejt, to get the best results with this rom what i recommend is

1. The Rom should be flashed only once (follow 2 and 3)
2. Actually you should perform a hardware reset before you flash a new rom, and then flash the new rom.
3.Yes customizations should always be completely finished before you hardware reset, or reset your phone.

No problem hear with wifi, try going in to start menu, settings, then connections, and then click on WIFI in their, and try turning it on that way.

That's what I've been doing but it kept shutting off on it's own after being connected for a few seconds. I flashed your ROM again and it's working now.

This ROM is the best ROM I've tried so far. You're definitely getting my support so you can keep updating it! Thanks for the great ROM. NRG ROM is good too but it's not so kind on battery life so I'll be using your ROM from now on!
