Works fine for me.

I have fixed most of the issues ive had with this rom with a few reg edits, and now its working perfectly.

For example, I had some size issues with the Enhanced Menu.

I fixed them with the below reg edits:
HCLM\Software\HTC\HTCMenus
PortraitMaxItemCount set to 6
NaviHW set to 440,46,600,60
ItemHW set to 440,600,80,81
FontFace set to Tahoma

Now, for me at least, Portrait doesnt show up beyond the top taskbar (but its a touch cut off at the bottom, which doesnt bother me) and Landscape doesnt extend beyond the sides.

Thats really the only major issue I had with the ROM.

An earlier post refered to needing PRL& Profile icon updater for running sprintTV, so mayby that can help.

I did need my sprint carrier cab for Arcsoft MMS to work for sprint, as the MMS settings tab only had Altel listed in dropdown menu.

Aside from few bugs listed already, my only complaint is the irritatingly slow peoples tab, which is glaringly slow compared to the rest of this smoking hot blazing rom.
I fixed it by installing the HD people tab I have in a Mighty cabfile. Now all is quik.
This is first rom I used where speed is constant & noticable everywhere, in whichever apps or menus I try.
I bet it would be even better with a custom manila.

now using Cons 3/17 rom. I installed the menu fix cab and it made the menus completely un readable in land scape or portrait mode. It looked like it was streached completly off the top of the screen, seeing no text and depending on what the screen orintation is, small blocks like static on a analog TV. Was there something I was supposed to do after or before installing the cab that I missed?

I would uninstall conn's menu fix, soft reset, then apply the registry settings I provided two posts above. Those fixed my menu issues.

In landscape, the menu is now choppy and slightly slow to load... but its not a big deal as it fixes the big issue.

Also with Cons ROM,.. after reading a new SMS, it still shows it as unread. Even after I respond to the text. I have to view the SMS a few times for it to randomly show as read.
Ideas?

I've had this issue with the stock Alltel rom. I don't think it's an issue with con's rom by itself.
Maybe its an issue with an installed .cab or tweak included in his cook. I haven't tracked it down yet as it doesn't happen all the time on stock rom.
Does it happen all the time after every message? Have you installed any cabs or tweaks after the flash?
Pretty annoying. Maybe we can pin it down.

I never have had this happen before with any ROM... stock, Cons, Juicys, or who ever...
The most I did was fix the menu issue, and install a few games. But I think this problem was happening before I did any of that... I just wasn't paying as much attention as not many SMS messages were being received (like right now).
The only thing that works every time is to view the SMS message with Touch Flo, pause, and wait for it to be marked as read.
Its really annoying as I think its causing some strange behavior when I am trying to text too. When I touch the message to reply (from the SMS\MMS inbox screen), it scrolls up to old messages and doesn't automatically make the input part of the screen active as it did before. And because I am used to the delay in the keyboard I don't notice until after I type quite a few words that its not working.

I've noticed something else, that it seems to happen more often when I receive duplicate texts from same contact. As if the carrier (alltel) resends the text to me before an acknowledgment that I have received it.
I reply to the last text received and it doesn't clear it.

Other times it happens with receiving multiple sms from several contacts. I have to click on each individual sms from the threaded chat list to clear it up. Unread received msgs will be in bold in the respective conversation lists for each contact.

I'm thinking its a tweak/setting/cab I've been using and maybe con has used it in this cook as well.

It's hard to track down cause it happens only at random. I usually forget about it until it annoys me again. LOL.

Actually both issues your explaining were a big problem in some 2xxxx roms when it first came out but it was researched and fixed. A little searching and I found the solution. Turns out Calcu figured out that htmlnote.dll was the problem in the SYS and you just have to replace that dll file with a older one from a 19xxx build.

Ive attached the new dll in a zip file, just copy and overwrite the old one in the windows directory using activesync or with file explorer on your device. Then after you soft reset your device those annoying SMS bugs should be gone.

With all the posted fixes so far and the new nuerom keyboard light tweak, only the lack of buildin nuerom rapid charge driver is the last issue I have with this ROM now. I wish that could be solved by a cab fix, conflipper can it be done in the next rom with the latest fixes?
