can anybody help me,, the ruu keeps telling me it cant open the update utility file. please check the update utility. wat am i doing wrong??

Hello, I am new at this and would really appreaciate anyones help. I am trying to install the SSK 1.5 ROM on my VZW Touch Pro. I have alreaday successfully unlocked the phone. However, when I try to load SSK 1.5, I get an error saying:

Error (240): File Open "The Update Utility Cannot Open the Requested File. Please check your update utility."

What am I doing wrong? Your help is greatly appreciated!

I have tried all the instructions, but the problem is when in goes into bootlader, the pc doesnt see the phone. I tried the USB to PC, unchecked & still doesnt work. Im really fustrated, as I have been trying to do this for at least 6 hours. Help me get the PC to see the phone in bootload. Thanks

will i be able to use the phone with alltel, pic, text, and everything when i flash the touch pro...My HTC is a sprint

Wow, I'm a noob. Let me learn how to put that kitchen into a rom. SHould I hard reset my phone before doing this and only add net framework 3.5?

lol, dont worry - its all good... we were all n00b once too, just like you

hard reset is gonna happen anyway once your flash a new rom, but it wont hurt...

Well I am learning a lot but not doing it incorrectly. Got it to "try" and update my rom. So some success. Except it stays on 0% and then says there is a communications error and does a recovery and still the same error. help help would be appreciated. Its a lazy saturday and the goal is to flash my first custom rom. Thanks!

If anyone has advice. I have done research and looked a lot of places. I have taken off my firewall, taken off my virus protection, removed the memory card and reinstalled activesync. I am still getting error 262 when trying to flash.
