Re: [1-06-09] eRice TP Kitchen v1.03.9 [SYS OS 5.2.21109 Build 21109.5.0.0] All Carri

@ eRice,

Just curious if you have newer GPS drivers in your kitchen then what came stock? Not sure where Calcu got his but in his earlier kitchen, they didn't work well with the TP so I swapped the ones from your last kitchen into his to make it work. I was just wondering if you are using the same drivers from your last kitchen.

Oh and the issue was that none of the GPS apps could use the windows default or GPS intermediate setting. They HAD to be manually selected to com 4 in order to work. That was ok for me except that Sprint Nav doesn't have an option to manually select the GPS driver or com port. Calcu's newest kitchen ( the one I am currently testing for him) is working now and I think he also grabbed your GPS drivers from your last kitchen.

I'm excited to see a new version of eRice. Great job with it, it's my favorite one!

I've got a question though, what video drivers are you using? I've heard the Omnia driver was working better for just about everything (TF3D, Opera, etc).

Re: [1-06-09] eRice TP Kitchen v1.03.9 [SYS OS 5.2.21109 Build 21109.5.0.0] All Carri

Looking forward to your new release. Your previous kitchen is by far the simplest & most predictable to use.

Do you ever plan to modulate resource files (exe's, dll's, etc) like some of the other kitcheners/rom chefs? I have found that while the modules load quicker, modifying resource files in module form are a bit more complicated and results in imagebin errors while cooking...

Or maybe I am just not that good at rom editing & cooking. I have searched for a reverse method of returning modules back to original resource form but to no avail...

I am retaining the GPS drivers from previous kitchens.
