Thanks! Does anyone know if this kitchen incorporates the TF3d on the Win 6.5 build? or is this the Win 6.5 today screen (titanium) ?

There are posts on this on the previous page. It has both TF3D and titanium depending which options you check in BuildOS. It's not the Rhodium Manila though.

Right. I just saw you could select between the 2. I forgot to change the pagepool though before I flashed. :-\ Just as a quick reference, when I open the pagepool app, select lets say 24, then click change to.....I just close it and flash the ROM? It saves it?

Once you click "change to" it is saved. If you have concerns , click "change to" then close the PP then reopen the PP changer reselect the nbh and it should now be already set to whatever you had changed it to, just to verify :)

Terrific hustle eRice. Two complete kitchens in two days...

You have now provided the masses with easy-to-use 6.5 creation bases. Thank you and enjoy your weekend...

this seems to be a recurring issue with 6.5 right now. the battery icon is there its just hidden. u have to go into clocks and alarms and on the More tab uncheck "Show time in all programs" that will make the battery show again

you're welcome leo.
its just too bad that despite the fact that i'm bringing you a fully functional kitchen of the latest windows mobile software, you have to complain about the fact that the small amount of OEMs i did include werent up to date.
i would venture to say that hunting and finding the latest OEMs is far less time consuming and technical than building and porting an entire kitchen
just my opinion.

awesome! i figured it out and then saw you posted that. thanks man!

I notice too that the Data Connection is automatic. In 6.1 its either on or off, it appears in 6.5, its toggled on and off automatically, which I would think would increase battery life as well. Am I correct?

eRice, I have used your kitchens many many times, and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE 21500. It's my first experience w/ WM 6.5 after a long time w/ TF3D and I think I just traded my favorite UIs! Thanks eRice!

For those of you looking for new OEMs, download SSKs latest kitchen.

Must be a 6.5 bug as this happened with Copper 1, known callers come in as unknown callers. Can't wait till this bug is fixed as it is annoying.

One more thing guys, the volume control is not working for me. I keep getting a "do your volume settings" message.

I have this zip here, its an OEM of the Volume Control.....can I just toss in everything in here with the exception of the rgu, dsm and xml files?

Re: [4-10-09] eRice TP Kitchen v1.06 [SYS OS 5.2.21500 Build 21500.5.0.0] All Carrier

I'm getting an error toward the end of the cook process. When the build in processing in the OEM\OEMAPPS folder I get the following:

"The file 'temp\dump\wt5autos.dll' file already exists"

This results in a failed build. The build stops there. I closed the BuildOS app and continued with the "Flash ROM" options in the command window. It appeared to flash correctly, but upon first reboot it hangs on the first screen.

I've confirmed that prior to the build there is no temp folder. When the build starts the temp folder is created. So that looks correct.

Any ideas?.....and thanks for the kitchen....:)

eRice, thanks for the 21500 kitchen! I didn't have a chance to even extract the previous version then this one emerges. I cooked a rom pretty much selecting everything. JetCet yelled at me so I just unchecked it. I'm using an alltel tp on cricket. Just need to find the optimum pagepool size and I think I'll be set! (i'm hearing 24MB is good for WM6.5, depends on individuals needs i suppose) Excellent job on the kitchen though, thanks again!

I am running 24 for WM 6.5 as well as TF3d (on a Sprint Touch Pro). I hear Verizon users use 9 or something around there.

yeah, the 9MB is to give you a bit more free RAM. not sure why they have to strip their phones, my theory is they cut costs on their devices thus giving a larger price margin to offset the cost of maintaining their network. again that is a theory/opinion, not factual. My current project is memory management on winmo 6.5, I'm assuming page pool is like pagefile/swap file on a PC.
anyways, i'll post my findings with memory management/optimization. I'm decided to stick with mr. eRice's kitchen

Actually JetSet probably won't worked if cooked in anyways. You can either delete the files from the oem or you can just uncheck it in the kitchen and then install it from a cab.... Don't be so quick to assume erice made a mistake. We are reeally lucky he is willing to put these together for us. Remember this a a pre-release os so things won't always work. You can always go back to 6.1.

i'd give him a break, he released 2 kitchens within a short time. IIRC its just a conflict, jetcet files exist elsewhere in the kitchen. I unchecked it myself, was too late to root out the conflict. search for the duplicate files within the kitchen folder/subfolders if you really need it cooked in. otherwise, just install the jetcet cab. it's floating around PPCG somewhere, also on xda-devs. I have the cab if u need it

Voice Command is found in two folders inside SYS. Just delete those two folders and it won't be included. =)

This is great. I installed it today on my Verizon Touch Pro and it works great. The only issue I am having is memory. With a soft reset I come up with 78% of the running memory used. Now, that may be completely my fault as I check several things in the Kitchen such as extra games and themes etc. My question is, will that ultimately use up my runtime memory even though I am not actually running the programs?

Thanks for all your hard work!!!

A couple of .RGUs in Customer OEMs I made are causing BuildOS in this kitchen to puke, but they work just fine in PPC-BuildOS (PPCKitchen). Anyone know of a general reason this might occur?

With memory usage that high on boot yoour are going to find that you cant do much....... you will run out of memory if you try to browse the net or listen to music or much of anything. My advice to you is recook without the games ect or whatever you can find cabs for and install the cabs after the flash. It takes longer this way but you will see an initial higher yield in available ram. Also make sure you set the "x" button to close and keep the apps your not using closed.

I also recently was turned onto a program called CleanRam that does wonders for keeping your ram controlled without having to constantly reset to get it back.

You want to be sure you understand the difference between ROM, Storage Space, and memory. The phone has a set amount of storage for the first two and what ever is left over from ROM (all the stuff you selected, plus the OS and what not. This is non-volitile and can only be changed with a new flash.), is available for storage space. This bit of storage is non-volitile. This means it won't get wiped with a soft-reset, but you can change it by doing things like installing cabs, copying files, etc. Neither of these is memory. Memory is a seperate bit of storage which is volatile (gets wiped out with a softreset). Selecting things in the kitchen will ultimately have some effect on how much memory is used at boot, but not directly (at least not after the first boot, if you don't want it to). Under \Windows\StartUp you will find a list of shortcuts for apps that will start with a reset. You can delete these shortcut to disable the app it would start. Other memory consumers are "services" and these are harder and more dangerous to manage. You can use .Fred TaskManager to start/stop/restart and I think disable/enable a service, but do this to the wrong service and you'll need a hard-reset. That last thing you can manage (aside from plain old apps), is your today plugin. TF3D is nice eye candy and all, but it's a memory hog, slow, and not really that productive. If you like the general idea, consider TF2D, or even TL with the TouchFlo theme to gain speed and save memory. Personally, I'll not likely touch any of them again now that I have Titanium in hand :)

Hope that helps.

all you have to do is use package builder or erase the Duplicate file in the OEM folder.

Problem Solved.
