other than those small issues, i'm totally shocked at how much faster this rom is than stock. and for those of you still having problems with picture mail, mine works fine with the latest cab from sprint. i didn't have to install an older one then upgrade like some of said. there are still some little quirks with it but they are the exact same quirks than with the stock. the one thing i really hoped this rom fixed was the announcements for incoming calls with voice command. it didn't. bummer.

so the incoming calls were not being annouced with the stock either ? huh I want to fix this but it will be later down the line ... the text bug I can't get that one to show its face will you give me more detail into what you use with the rom

i'm at work right now but couldnt wait to post this. Wanted to say thanks to JD AGAIN and i'll reply to your questions later today. Just wanted to say that after installing this latest version my battery life has improved so much! At the same time yesterday, i was at 58% (lunch time) and today i'm at 75% and i used the phone more today! Amazing and obviously very pleased.

Highlight for Delete in Outlook Email

First off JD you and a few others like you make an incredible contribution to us all. So thanks.

Relative to your latest ROM (I've used them for the Touch as well), when I flashed your latest I lost the ability to be able to highlight several emails and then delete.

If my memory serves me (I am old in geek terms, so memory maybe an issue), there is a switch for scrolling or highlighting in the email boxes. I cannot find it to turn it back off in Outlook email

Thanks,

Edit: Running JDTP5

This is the only problem I have with JDTP5, should be an easy reg fix, no?

Yep, me too. I would hope there would be a simple reg edit. If not, let's hope JD makes one more "Final" version :).

Hey JD I got the "Sprint Manila" from Juggs. Can I just dump that into the windows folder after loading your rom. I'm asumming it still has the GSM manila like your last one . . .

Re: JD's ROM

Go into the e-mail (ie Yahoo) menu and you will see select messages there is an option there to chose select all - all below - several set it on several don't know if this is the fix but its the only thing that I can see ....

How do I put in my own custom sounds for the keyboard sliding sound? I have two .wavs, one for sliding out, and one for sliding in, but I cant figure out where to put them so the "keyboard sliding sound" program under settings sees them.

I dont Think there is way to select few messages with touchflow running.
There is a program called Inbox extender that lest you delete all messages and mark all messages as read.

I don't know what program you are using, but i would try the windows folder or the folder the app itself is in or maybe inside the apps folder there is a folder for sounds? Without knowing the program that would be my guess.

When I flick my finger to scroll through my emails and then I tap the screen to stop the scrolling, it will then bring me to the text message folder, instead of stopping the scrolling on the spot. is this a bug?

It doesn't come on the phone. You can try no2chem's version at http://www.nuerom.com/BlogEngine/page/nueSlidingKB.aspx
It will allow you to enable a sound for keyboard in and out.

yes, this happens in the stock rom too. It's really hard to scroll in messages. I also notice that scrolling in an actual message body is off -- on flick may scroll half way through a long message -- maybe 3-5 screens worth of scrolling... anybody know what's going on here?

thanks for posting this I was wondering what may have caused this or if this is something I inherited from the stock I am going to go to work again on this as I'm not really impressed with this build of 6.1

yeh the lack of multi-select happens on all ROMs built off of this build and 20924. Its in Juicy's Diamond ROM and the Diamond kitchen with 20924. Definitely nothing any cook did, its the build.

Its the one thing keeping me stock ROM on the TP for now as all custom ROMs seem to be built off one of those 2 bases

Your rom is great. A larger page pool like others are modifying would be an added benefit :)

JD thanks for the ROM, I just got my device and noticed it lagged between menus and such. Using your ROM has sped up the device tremendously! (Not to mention getting rid of the Sprint Bloatware) Thanks, Joshua

Nice ROM.

Yeah, the phone feels snappier.

I like the onscreen keyboard. I don't know if you created that but it helps because i have big fingers.

Figured I would post this here as well since I have been getting a good few requests for it. JD's 5.1 rom with 48 Dynamic Pagepool.

Thanks to JD for making this rom and Deviant for tweaking the pagepool. I love the look and feel of my phone now...it's amazing at what the minds of a few dedicated people can do!

Thanks!

I was able to duplicate the problem. It seems like when the option for the device to autolock after a certain time is enabled, the long end key no longer works to lock the phone. This was not a problem before. Any way to fix this? I like to keep my device locked at all times as it contains confidential patients' health information.

I wanted to hold off on changing my ROM till the newness of the phone wears off, but I couldn't wait :) Flashed a few minutes ago, waiting for the firstboot installation stuff to finish...

edit: woah...so far this is much faster than the stock ROM it isn't even funny! Nice work JD!

I flashed this rom this morning and realized it is a battery drainer. I had a full charge when it was done flashing, customized it to my personal preference with it charged in...and only had it off of the charger for a few hours, and now it's almost empty.

I'm assuming it's the 48mb dynamic page pool that's causing this. My rom prior to this was JD's final with 24mb static pagepool...it had an extremely longer life than this one!

I'll probably hex JDTP5.1 with 24 static and see what happens.

I think I agree with sirdevinster. My battery life has gone down drastically compared to the original ROM posted by JD. Goin back now.

I Do Not Support My Rom After You Change Anything In It Or About It So If You Have A Problem While Using It With A 24 48 0 Whatever Page Pool You Should Make A Thread Elsewhere For That ..... The Rom I Designed Has The Stock Default Pp Thats How I Made It And That Is All I Will Support Here In This Thread
