make sure to get SSPL-Manual specifically for Verizon phones from the verizon package.
SSPLManual.exe running on the phone before running the unlocker worked for me. I was getting the 202 connect error running the unlocker by itself after activesync established. I should point out that after you have verifed a connection established w/ activesync, and *after* running SPLManual.exe on the phone, you may need to give the PC time to recognize a new device, allow those drivers to load, then run the unlocker on your PC. I don't know if my situation was coincidence or not, when I ran SSPLManual.exe on the phone, device manager on the PC installed a new device. Activesync was already running. I think its similar when running wmodem or similar, the host PC drivers needed are different. BTW, the phone is a fairly new Alltell TP, the SPL version was 40.000.
