Thank you guys for the precise method of unlocking and upgrading. Now my pictures and videos are recieved instantly. Instantly meaning 15mn or less, not hours or days. I was truly frustrated with Sprint service. Now I may stay with them.

Nice info man!
But every time i try to upgrade hard spl it gives me error 262, i searched everywhere and never found a solution. I tried on 2 htc touch pro's one alltel and 1 sprint and none work. I dont know what im doing wrong.

OK, so I'm a complete noob here. Got my Telus HTC Touch Pro back in March, but I only recently learned that I could flash it with a new OS.

Got the Hard SPL package, and I've got everything synched up with Office 2007 on Windows 7 and I'm ready to unlock it. One question, though: Will I need to get Telus do do anything so I can use the phone again once I have a new OS on it, or not?

nope. it will work like normal after flashing a custom cdma touch pro rom.

I have a TD Alltel that Verizon replaced my broken TD with and it has the new 6.1 WM in it. I want to use MightyRom but cant get it unlocked it seems. If it is unlocked which it might be, MightyRom wont start to load. Says versions are not loadable to this phone. any help? Is it cause I am using the .37 unlocker and not the verizon unlocker program?

you right click on the zip file and extract it. that will give you the exe file that you need to run.

This is the Touch Pro section. This unlocker will only work on the Touch Pro. Go to the section for your phone for the unlocker that will work for you.

Ok, I recieved a replacement phone today. While trying to unlock my phone for a second time I get an error in the RUU saying "This Update Utility cannot be used for your PDA phone. Please check your Update Utility. Any thoughts?

if the lock version is 0.40 then you need to run SSPLManual_Raphael

this also is on the first post explaining what to do if you can not enter SSPL...

NOTE 2: anyone having problems with the device entering SSPL automatically, please copy SSPLManual.exe from the SSPLManual.zip attachment to the device and run it. then once the screen is in SSPL, run RUU manually. i.e. you run the RUU on the PC, if it isn't obvious.
make sure to get SSPL-Manual specifically for Verizon phones from the verizon package.
