Help Gps doesn't work!
 

I get an error that reads privacy settings could not be found.
I followed everything step by step and in order and everything works fine.. but the gps. can someone help me? I also tried to find the lllbored.gpsfix file but i can't find it.. please help!

this thread is for unlocking your phone. it does not affect the way your phone works. it just allows you to flash a custom rom.

unlocking your phone does exactly that, unlock the hspl. now..what u can do is back up ur contacts before u unlock and flash the rom of ur choice, then restore ur contacts afterwards.

its all good..ya gota ask to know. well, u have ppcpimbackup(i currently use outlook, but use ppcpimbackup as a backup to outlook), spb backup(never used it, but read 50/50 reviews on it from here), sprite backup(i think will backup contacts also).
if u wanna try ppcpimbackup, i can upload it in a sec...dont have the file on this sd card

im trying to lock the phone again... i flashed it and thought it worked but when i do the bootloader it shows unlocked still..


what are the steps?

it will always say Security Unlocked. As long as it doesn't say CMONEX anywhere, then you know it's relocked.

conyo hombre...what are you doing over there? lol. What have you tried? Tell us step by step what you're doing so people can tell you where you're going wrong. And we need details like...What file you're using, what operating system is on your computer? That way we don't have to do a bunch of back and forth about what steps you did. Know what I mean?

Just got my original (Nov 18th build date) TP replaced and used the unlocker from the SD card method.

DAMN THAT IS SWEET!

(flashing back to stock and re-locking was easy too. Now if we could only re-lock from the SD card.... :-))

well i got it to work... flash a radio too

i dont know what was going on but it would stay stuck at 0% and not do anything. weird.


im on XP pro ( i think) older dell laptop


i downloaded the right file but it was not working.. tried the same steps as when i 1st unlocked my 2nd pro. like i said weird.


no clue why i have neen having problems, all i know if that i want a new laptop!!! lol

what happens if you dont have netframework 3.5 on the pc? will it flash? not flash? mess something up? i did hard spl flashed roms, and ever since every now and then my screen goes wack and just black, so i just checkec and only have 2.0 installed. could that have messed my phone up? the rom runs great and the spl is unlocked, but the screen thing happened almost instantly after flashing.

nevermind, it just says net framework not 3.5, so im assuming 2.0 is ok. hmmmm wonder what the hell is wrong, actually while flashing the spl during the 0 - 100% process it had a error so i had to run the spl again and it worked fine.... what problems can arise from that happening? is bricking the only problem you run into from flashing? help im a newb, maybe it was coinsidence? who knows but i love this phone (got a replacement on the way) and love the mighty 4.16 im running now.

just flashed my telus touch pro to .37 - worked great on first try. Now to figure out how to unlock my gps...

Since when is Telus GPS locked? The only Touch Pro that has the GPS locked is Verizon. What makes you think it's locked? I think you might just have the settings wrong. Did you make sure the Location Setting is on? Click Start-Settings-Phone, click on the Services tab, highlight Location Setting, then clcik on the Get Settings button.

Just got a replacement touch pro CDMA Sprint. I have done this to my last phone but now when I attempt to flash I get error code 260, active sync is fine, stock rom shipped with the device, disabled all firewall, av products, the phone starts into the grey "Loading screen" but never makes it any further and on the computer screen i get the progress bar but just sits a 0%, I have tried on 2 different computers what gives? Also I was able to successfully flash the sprint shipped EXE rom without issues after not being able to flash the SPL this was the next thing I did to verify that I can flash.

Hey Formula84, I see you already successfully unlocked via sd card, but wanted to put this info in here for other people having the connection error.
Are you sure you are following the "Preparations before flash" and all of the instructions located in the first post of this thread? Your problem could be a few different things. Try changing this Settings-Connections-USBtoPC, and turn "Advanced Network" under ActiveSync off. If that doesn't work then how about flashing via the microsd card here. It's very easy. good luck

hey so i got my refurbed touch pro and i m trying to unlock it


i have it connected and downloaded the hard spl 37 and i run it and my phone gets to tri color screen and it just sits there... never enters percent or anything... i even tried using sd way.... any help? thanks

Actually, I just got a US Cellular touch pro, and it seems to be GPS locked :(

I did as you said, but the google maps programs still cant seem to find me.

Did you update with QuickGPS first? Are you clicking on Menu, then Use GPS, in Google Maps? If so, what does it say in the top right corner?

Ok i'm a noob and i'm sorry for that but i am trying to use the unlocker, i have followed everything step by step from the 1st post numerous times i have tried to hard reset and everything and i can't get it to work. i keep getting the 202 error that i have seen from previous posts and also my phone will go to the tricolor screen and then to the grey screen with loading on it and nothing happens. i am running xp i have 3.5 framework not sure what i am doing wrong. i even loaded the manual file on my phone and when i ran it it went to tricolor screen then went back to the same loading screen. any help would be appreciated. i have an alltel touch pro by the way

Hey i need a reply quick i needed to flash back to stock because for some old reason my screen went out. but anyway i downloaded the relocker for sprint and when run the app my computer says there was a problem and that the program is closing. i have vista and all the net frame work and all that good stuff. please help out i need my replacement asap. i will hit the thanks button

Have you tried going to start-settings-connections-usb to pc, then unchecking the box below activesync? By the way, which SPL version are you trying to use? should be using .37.
Or, have you tried doing the unlock via microsd card here http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=61333

Hi ty for the help i have checked the activesync option and yes i am trying to do the .37. I have read almost every post in this thread and nothing is helping. I have not tried the sd card way yet cause i am not sure on how to do it exactly like they say format it to fat 32 not sure what that means and also i don't really want to reformat my memory card cause i will lose stuff but i guess if i have to i can dump it to my comp.

most cards are already formated to fat32, so you can just try it. If it doesn't work then you can try formating it.
Do step #7 from the first post here and read the first NOTE below it and let me know what version info your scrren displays on the second line.

lets just put it this way , im like an idiot all ive done so far is i synced raphael_HSPL_037 to my phone i extracted the file and then i double clicked it n it tells me (( ERROR ,AN unexpected error has occured in raphael ,select quit and then restart this program ,or select details for more info )) ,, n i honestly dnt know wat 2 do now , i have the black dialer and few apps i had no problems with them but wen it comes to nice themes i cant get it 2 work . sorry 4 the headache :-)

So I'm not sure if I got a refurb that was unlocked, or if the unlocking process only half-worked. I attempted to unlock my replacement from Asurion, but it stalls at the "Loading..." screen on the phone, and returns a connection error 260 on my computer. The tri color boot screen reports that my phone is "Security Unlocked".

I've tried soft resetting it, hard resetting it, locking it, unlocking it, flashing from the storage card, and nothing will get past the "Loading..." screen. Did a few searches here and xda, but I didn't see anyone with this problem on the touch pro.

I have the HTC Touch Pro, Raphael 800, Sprint branded with stock rom. Any help or a link in the right direction would be much appreciated. Thanks.
