The new Bing crashes occasionally for me while using the navigation feature. I don't use Opera so no idea about that.

  • The phone also goes through bouts of unresponsiveness. Registers screen taps and the HW buttone work, but apps won;t close and / or open (depending if I'm trying to open or close something)
I haven't experienced this. I've been told of the screen not responding for a few seconds but I cannot reproduce that either.

  • Trying to send a photo via MMS locks up the phone for several minutes. Shot at 1 mp. Maybe it's still too big and converting in the background? Any way to turn that off and just not send it if it's too big? Sending MMS video works just fine, though. No problems
Haven't had this issue either. I use the Arcsoft MMS in post 2. When I send a photo, the little send icon appears at the top and goes away when done. The phone is as fast as ever while sending.

  • I suppose the proc is too weak to handle full motion video on the video out? Choppy when I fist got the phone with original stock ROM, choppy with swinnrom. Divx player or TCPMP-- no difference.
Yeah I havent had much luck with the video out. Pixelated and choppy. Useless in my opinion.

  • The Telenav cab I installed (and supplied a link to for you guys to install to, if you wished) failed 7 days after reinstall with account expiry message. Oops! Darn. Oh well. I haven't tried the official Sprint one, yet, though.
Never used the Sprint Navigation much and prefer TomTom.

  • Voice Command works 100% announcing system events, email, incomming calls, and text messages. Great when I'm awake. Not so great when I'm trying to sleep ("The battery is low." "The battery is critically low") argh. Ok, so I turned it off for system events, Still, if someone sends an email at 2:40 in the morning. . .
I set mine to bluetooth only.. but I hate any sound coming from the phone unless I tell it is ok

  • I think I liked having my pagepool at 0 (dynamic) than 24 (static). Maybe it's they way I use my phone or purely psychological, but 0 seemed faster for me.
I've gone back to 0 myself after trying 32 and 24 for a few weeks.

On another note, I've gone back to build 23563 (and have considered going back to 23559). I had random issues with 23569 and bad battery life. Since going back to 63, things are working much better. If I release another ROM then I'll probably release it as build 23563 with a pagepool of 0.

Re: [ROM][WWE][05/17/10] swinnROM 6.5.5 23569/21903 [KITCHEN][CLEAN]

I think the only sluggish activity I've had with the latest rom has been with opening and closing texts, and that's only after I have accumulated quite of few of them in the inbox. But in my experience that has always been the case with WinMo 6.5.

have you found out the reason why the lags happen?

I don't have any lag. Is it possible that it is being caused by a cab installed?

If anyone has built a rom (using my kitchen) that is "laggy" then send me the nbh and the built.txt.

Ok thanks anyway. This is something I can live with just as long as every other Sprint TouchPRO user is living with it.

Donation has been sent because this rom is totally awesome! I've been using this for a few weeks now, and cant find any problems with it. Its been very stable and quick and responsive. In fact I can leave my phone on for days without doing a memclean or even a soft reset. Just like my big computers.

Well there might be one problem. If I ever have to do a hard reset or you release an update, I will need to start fresh installing cabs and apps. But thats a fair trade off to have a clean rom and to install cabs and apps that I use.

Ye don't need to do all that actually. Read here first: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=366337 to get an understanding of it.
Then go here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=411988 to download the program to make the SDConfig.txt file for ye.
If ye need any help with it just PM me (it took me a wee bit to get it right but I have it running perfect now, any ROM flash automatically installs most of my programs. I'm just working on the ones that require ye to do stuff, like select a language or the such)

I did a hard reset, followed by a reflash and then another hard reset. It got it to disappear, and then I started installing each program separately and found out it was the kane159 CManila Menu (beta) program (it made multiple selectable links in a single Titanium panel. Which really sucks as I use it all the time.
Anyone know of another program like that? I know that Home Screen Customer gives ye the Apps panel but it is limited to only 8 links. I use a good 12-16!

Cheers

Thanks for the donation! I'm not sure if there will be any more updates. Development of the 6.5.5 builds seem to have stopped and the OEM files probably won't see much of an update either. I might possibly do a final update which will have the latest 6.5 build and revert back to the 23563 build for 6.5.5.
