[ROM][WWE][09/13/10] swinnROM 6.5.x 23563/23138/21914 [KITCHEN][CLEAN]

I am really liking this ROM so far. It is a nice change of pace from a lot of the other "flashy" (aka bloated) roms out there.

I did a quick search and couldn't find anything in the thread... Is there a way to disable the XT9? Even though I have all the options turned off, it is on by default every time I start typing. Is there a registry value I need to change or something? Thanks

I'm having display/render problems with Opera Mini beta 5 lately. I have no idea if its an Opera or ROM issue. I am running that latest 21901 or whatever the # is.

The only thing I have to do is go to Settings->Personal->Input->Word Completion and turn off "Suggest words when entering text." Are you using another keyboard from the default?

No, I am using the HTC Keyboard (BJK HTC EzInput) as the default keyboard was too small for my sausage fingers.

Even with the standard keyboard, it would always default to T9 on, even with all the settings turned off.

Do you remember it having this problem before you installed EZInput? Just trying to narrow it down some.

Edit: Also, EZInput is set to ABC and not T9 right?

Yes, this was a problem before I installed EXInput.

And it defaults to T9 every time I open the keyboard, so I have to change it to ABC every time.

I am going to chalk this issue up to a bad flash, as my phone went bat s*** insane last night. I will try to reflash this weekend and see if the issue still persists.

I've never had a problem changing themes on any of the swinnRom versions. I've used quite a few of the themes available at XDA without any trouble.

Considering that the NRG roms are pretty heavily modified I tend to think that is the problem you are having with using themes meant for his roms.

We got it figured out. It was from using tsk files that were looking for non-existent images.

testing this rom on a vzw touch pro today. the small footprint is what draws me towards this rom. needless to say i was rather surprised by the 42mb download lol

edit:

rom seems pretty good. very clean. very slim. ran well on the vzw tp. installed vzw carrier cab & arcsoft cab. it all works like it should. thanks for this rom, i was having issues finding one slim enuff to run on a vzw touch pro without much hassle. its not my device but rather a co-worker who needed a stable environment without a lot of fuss. thanks!
