Re: [ROM] SKI-ROM Build 012510 CE OS 5.2.23518 M2.5/M2.1 - Sashimi Compliant

Just downloaded and flashed the Sense 2.5 version of the rom. The "max" version was a bit much.

Overall, I am VERY happy with this ROM. After empiROM died out, I was actually back on stock WinMo 6.1 rom because none of the other roms I could stay with for too long.

Stability has been great, usage of sense 2.5 is great. Battery life is right where I would expect and don't think its using anything more than base rom.

I do have a few questions which I have tried to look up myself but have been unable to find.

On the home page, there is a "second" row of icons - missed call, alarms, text and email. Is there any way to get rid of that second row?

The notification area at the top (where it shows 1X/EV, signal, battery) shows icons for email, texts, etc... but when I click on them nothing happens or it brings up the task manager. Any way for it to go to the appropriate area when you click on it? IE click the email icon and it takes you to your email?

I think this is more part of the sense system, but is there a way to turn off the screen graphics for weather? I was trying to read my appointments tomorrow and the "Clouds" started covering stuff up. Or the window got "frosted."

Finally, I'm not sure how, but I once got into this weird screen where it had various buttons. It had stuff for turning sense on/off, titanium on, etc. It was 2 pages and you scrolled with an arrow in the upper corner. Any idea what that was?

I am continuing to look for answers for these but havent so far. Its 170 pages and trying to use "search" is not helping. Thanks for any help and above all, thanks for a great ROM!

The weird screen you are talking about is the setup options of Max Manila, a great mod for Sense 2.5. You can access this screen by dragging your finger top to bottom on the home page.

You can learn more on it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=551489

To remove the row of notifications icons from the home page, access the Max Manila settings page and turn notifications off.

Hope that helps!

I attempted to flash "SKIROM_Standard_012510" and while at 1% when transferring the ROM from PC to my Sprint Touch Pro the message "ERROR: Invalid Model ID" is displayed and phone restarts without any changes.

Weird. Did you unlock your phone before flashing? Just asking.

Yes. It's unlocked. I usually flash between stock and NRGZ ROMs which haven't given me any trouble with the "ERROR: Invalid Model ID" message.

Thanks!

Thanks!
My guess would be an issue with the RUU. I havent flashed with a RUU in a looooong time, I go from the SD.

I know some users post that having certain symbols in the file name can effect the RUU flash. Try removing anything other than letters from the file name.

Another RUU may help.

Or you could try to flash from the SD-very easy.

http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=61333

That's the flash from SD thread if you're not familiar.
Nothing against nrgz-he's Da Man!-but as a former Addict I can tell you SKI ROCKS!
Good luck.
