Strange, I can't check it for you, because I'm currently running Manila 2.1, but on another phone I have access to, a Diamond running OMJ's Manila 2.5, there is a whole additional section above those four options with 3 more choices: symbol lock, typing sound, and vibrate (on keypress).

I'm not sure there is a way to access that setting easily without those panels. Someone who knows more might be able to help you with regkeys.

I'm using the Sense 2.1 rom (I like having landscape mode). Is there a way to disable the retractable slider in portrait mode?

I have the same menu as screege so I have to *assume* that THIS manila build lacks those options. Could be a 1920 vs 1921 thing.
What we do have under Start/Tools is Finger Keyboard, a most excellent SIP program that is massively customizable. It has 8 different sounds to chose from (well 16 if you count the fact that each one has a quiet and loud version) among many, many different options. Check it out.
Hope that helps.

This was the case on the older version of Google Maps as well for me.
So I've always used GPS with Google Maps, just thought that was the norm.
Question-why would you use Google Maps without GPS? Satellite signal issues I suppose?

I had the same problem after the intital flash. I ran quick GPS and it fixed it right up!

The answers you seek are on Post #3-MaxManila Instructions....but as a Welcoming Gift:
Slide DOWN on the home screen to access the Max Settings. Click on Alerts till it says 0 to get rid of the 4 Alert icons. Here you will also find Calendar, click it to set the # of appointments you want to see.

Enjoy! :)

Tried that, a few times. Never got the menu. Did some more searching and found that it's a little buggy in these WM builds, and used the SIPChange cab to change it. Works like a charm now!
