Re: [ROM] SKI-ROM Build 011010 CE OS 5.2.28011 M2.5/M2.1 - Sashimi Compliant

Hello all - I hope your enjoying the new ROMs!

zone23 - in response to your post http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...postcount=1067
Not a problem at all. I am curious what the size of your program memory is after installing all of that. When you install cabs that overwrite stuff in windows it doubles the size of what you are installing. Unless of course you make the cab uninstallable.

Don't have a clue on any WiFi issues I'm locked on to my securred wireless network at home just fine. What is the security? WEP, WPA, WPA2 ....? Make sure that you set it up correctly for the authentication and data encryption you are trying to access.

As for the Facebook syncing of ALL contacts at once. My hunch is that it is a bug in the FacebookSDK.dll. If anyone is flash happy and know of a ROM it work on and wants to grab that file from that ROM and post it up, I'll take a look. FacebookSDK.dll allows you to do other thing such as look at your friends online albums etc. So, reverting may break that. Worth a shot though.

Testing a 28205/23158 hybrid build today and it's not bad. May be the next sys. We'll see. It has threaded email, however I don't see the point and it doesn't really work as you would expect. More testing...

Re: [ROM] SKI-ROM Build 011010 CE OS 5.2.28011 M2.5/M2.1 - Sashimi Compliant

Office 2010 Outlooks default view was a threaded email. I thought it made emails hard to follow. Office 2007 has it too it just wasn't the default view.

Storage:
Total: 278.22 MB
In Use: 115.61 MB
Free: 162.61 MB

Program:
Total: 216.07 MB
In Use: 135.23 MB
Free: 80.95 MB

What do you think? Am I killing my TP? I don't install anything to the storage card either I probably should since I have an 8gb card.

I just want to say this rom is better than Energy ROM....I didn't think I would ever leave. The only thing I would suggest (if possible) is to have it tell us the battery power left in a percentage on the taskbar. Other than that, this is quite honestly a much better ROM.

After a reboot i'm using 126.24MB it says 89.69 Free is that bad?
No, that isn't bad at all.

So the threaded e-mail works if you get a pile on for emails. It is a way to do grouping.

I had problems with wireless, tried several different ROMS my phone ended up be Epic Ghey and the wireless completely face planted. It ended up being the phone.

thanks given.

btw, you hid the max manila settings from me. i've spend 3 days trying to get it off the shortcuts launcher menu, lol.

great work!

Re: [ROM] SKI-ROM Build 011010 CE OS 5.2.28011 M2.5/M2.1 - Sashimi Compliant

Wow! SMS/MMS that works out of the box with just a minor setting change for alltel? Ya, you've got my phone!

Just getting used to it now after having just got used to NRGs. LOL!

So far, everything is just so damn smoooooth. LOVE IT!

Having a hard time finding some of the settings, and kinda missing that little x to close programs though. On some I have to open task manager just to shut down a program. Kinda sucks.

1 question, and 1 want coming...

Question, why did you set up the hold power button as turn off the phone? A few other ROMs have to slider options (Sleep, Shut down, Soft Reset, Cancel) that I really like, but have NO idea what program it is, or if it's even aval as a cab I could install.

Want, NRG includes a soft reset program button cooked in. This is super sweet, as I had it set in my quick menu. Problems? Tap, soft reset done. Fixed. That I really miss, and having it cooked in would be sweet too. Until then, anyone know that program too, and if there's a cab for it?

Before the flames, I tried s2u2 and couldn't get the settings anywhere near what I wanted, and the interface was totally different, pretty sure that's not the program I'm looking for.

Besides those couple of really little things, GREAT work man!
