Was having the same problem, tried reflashing and "flash dancing" butnothing changed. disable sense first before you install Max. I know this is when the start bar disapears, but just make sure you enable titanium at the same time. with the menu bar gone just launch a program and it shows again, install Max, reboot, launch a program to get your bar back, then re-enable sense then you'll be cool... Hope you understand my jibberish... This is how I finally got Max installed on mine, that seem to be the only problem, once installed and as long as sense is enaled its okay.

I do find that the menu bar on the bottom does have some bugs maybe? The wrong icons show with sms/mms tab, email tab, also there is no lock icon while in the start menu. I think in a few other areas we have no or wrong icons too... But other than those few problem I find nothing else... the rom is great...

You can add a quicklaunch shortcut.
It will also pickup when new texts come in and let you open it right then.

It has a few skins built in.
Have not tried to skin it myself.

I really liked your roms but i had to switch back because of the problem with tethering quitting on me. Im tethering right now with no problems, if this where fixed I would come back without a doubt. Thanks anyway

Have you tried tethering on the new roms?
I have added wm tether app.
It should work now.

yes I tried it on newer roms without problems, dont get me wrong it works on your roms but it quits usually as soon as I stop browsing from what I can see as a pattern. The WM app you added requires drivers and I usually have 3 diferent computers that I use so that would be killer. Something must be making it stop. Lets see what happens because I want to continue using your roms.

LOL I hear ya... I LOVE sense 2.5 ... but i mistakenly threw the new t-mo manila 2.1 to my phone the other day and now I JUST DON'T KNOW!! If facebook showed the entire update on sense 2.1 id be sold ... but the landscape. I ve grown used to not having it, and I really miss being able to rotate the screen without any ill effects. My experience was WVGA on a VGA device... obviously, but still ... It put the bug in me... Got me thinkin
