When you plug in the device do you get options for Active Sync/Mass Storage and Internet Sharing?

It should give you those options.

So when you say it will not connect as Mass Storage that makes me think the device is having issues with the hardware.
Usually it will always connect as mass storage even if Active Sync fails.

I had this advertise every time after isntall the rom.

That has happened to me randomly on other roms at times.
NRG used to do that on me.
Not sure what causes it but I have not had that issue on my roms.
It does however on occasion pop up when the device gets plugged into the wall and not PC for some reason but it is rare.

Looks like your solution required an additional step. I tried unchecking the box to disable vibrate mode, but it did not work. I had to enable vibrate mode and reduce it to zero, same effect.

Fixed comm manager issue from last build and a few other small fixes.

i'm on the new darkroot/max combo and my landscape features are still black. Any reason why? Should I reflash again?

For Landscape features other than HTC messaging just rotate the device.
Do NOT slide the keyboard open.
Album,music and messaging preview work this way.

For FULL Landscape HTC messaging you need to first start a message and then slide the kb out.
Messaging will rotate to landscape.

That is the only issue I've found with the MaxDarkRoot Combo 1227 (on it right now) No calendar issue for me or any other issue for that matter.
