Re: [ROM] ROOTROM - SMS/MMS - Sashimi Compliant - ALL Carriers inc USCC - Jan 28 2010

Hmm, I just flashed to the MaxSilverRoot Rom about 7 hrs ago and everything seemed to be working! But now, when I went to set my Ringer to my personal preference all the Ringers are giving me a corruption error?!

Try this for me.
Use MP3 trimmer to create a ringtone and see if it errors at all.
Have seen other roms do that with custom ringers and I am not sure what causes it but I think creating them on the device fixes it.
Let me know.

Try dling again.
I didn't download until after all the issues were fixed. In other words, my version had the crippled max manilla. Apply and it just changed the looks, but wasn't really "there."

I bounced over to SKI for now, but I'll be keeping an eye on this one too.

I like the dark themes, but the only annoying part about both your rom and SKI's is that the battery meter is very hard to read/interpret. Would it be possible to find one to cook in that keeps the darkness, but incorporates a percentage?

I've installed other cabs over the top of these, but they always seem to end up messing up the clean look at the top of the screen.

Actually the Ringers are working when I go in Start>Settings>Sounds/Notification route and set there!! But when, I use the Settings Tab (Sounds & Display) on the home screen and try to set them it says they are corrupt.

Will be updating MaxSilver again soon I think.
Will see about another taskbar as well.
Maybe I will add a good one to the first post.

Since more are trying out Android on these devices I thought I would pass this along.
I have not tested the Android package yet so this is also untested by me.
If it works let me know.

There are four versions in the zip file.
Use either VGA for Internal or VGA for SD.

Have you tried bilbobrians taksbar? I like the Dusk bar the best for MaxDusk ROMs but this one is killer too.
Check out what it looks like here after I installed it on root's MaxSilver ROM:

It's in root's attached files here:

Thanks bro! Between you and SKI, I see no reason to go to a TP2. (Well, besides the fact that I CAN'T. I'm in an area that may/may not be Verizon when this crap is all over. (Crosses fingers, please no AT&T...))

That does look good with the silver. When it's all ironed out I'll give silver a try and if something like that isn't already cooked in I'll add it.

That said, the white is a little too striking for a MaxDark/Dusk theme. Red or Green instead of white would look pretty slick.
