Hello. Brand new Android/Hero user here, came from TP2 and Mightyrom. This is such a change, I'm a newb again Finally got the damn thing rooted, despite many objections by my phone haha. Anyways..

The alarm doesn't work. I have it set under Clock, and it's set to "go off even if on silent." So I put my phone on silent, sit, and nothing happens. Any ideas?

Yeah, we installed the SU patch, its something to do with secure exchange accounts syncing to this rom. if your exchange is secure it forces you to create an unlock pw, which sends this rom into a endless boot cycle that just cycles through the boot screens, but never loads android.

Yeah, i'm back on 2.1.1 until this is fixed

some of us appear to be having trouble if your exchange server requires your phone to be "secured" (ex: a screen unlock password.) Everything works great till your phone needs to reset itself to "sync" with exchange and apply these "security settings." No word yet how this affects exchange accounts / servers that don't require these settings. Otherwise the ROM worked great for me, just couldn't sync my contacts, and without those, my phones kinda useless...

Agree...without exchange my phone is useless as well.

Thanks for the clarification. I had just read those comments right after I flashed this rom. I followed the instructions. flash rom, flash fix, sign into google account. Afterwards I set up exchage. I am almost sure we do not require the phone to be "secured". So far I have not had a problem...knock on wood.
