Yes. Just go in to the lockscreen settings. Select the app you want to switch out and a menu with all your apps will appear. Select the gmail app icon and it will make the switch.

Thanks man ... Yeah it's happening on all the speedy ports ... Golf Logix us only $20 a year and unlike all the rest they are professionally mapped by them rather than users and is the most feature rich out of all of them... Plus all my rounds/data are loaded in Golf Logix (i also own FreeCaddie Pro but still not as good as GL)

@OMJ,

Any ideas? Also, if u plan to whip up a version of the stock release is it going to be possible to add 2.1 elements to it like the 3.0 elements being added to this speedy port? Ie, 3.0 lockscreen , 2.1 drop down quick settings etc... *nudge nudge* ... I know u prefer building off a stock base!

Make sure you have ADB installed on your pc and usb debugging enabled on your phone. UNZIP and copy the attached module to your ADB folder. Open an admin command prompt on your pc and change the working directory to the same directory as your ADB server directory.

Do this first to make a GOOD backup of your current driver.

adb pull /system/lib/modules/bcm4329.ko ./bcm4329.ko.old

at this point you should have a bcm4329.ko.old and a bcm4329.ko in your adb directory.

mount -o remount,rw -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock3 /system

Exit adb shell or open another cmd prompt to the same directory as your adb server again.

adb push bcm4329.ko /system/lib/modules/bcm4329.ko

Disable wifi and re-enable. This will load the new driver and you'll have wireless N speeds.
Now for the cosmetic change to match. Open root explorer and go to the /system directory. Mount as r/w and open Build.prop in text editor. Find the line that lists the wifi details (currently will show b/g). Edit that line to show b/g/n and save. Reboot phone.. enjoy!

Thanks, but considering I flash my phone as often as OMJ releases them, it'll be a pain to do this every time.

My guess is.. you will have it in the next rom for sure.. would be easy to cook that in. So its likely if you do it manually this once, you won't have to next time!

I cant seem to get weather to recognize my location. Any ideas? It just says "current location". Says unable to contact the location service or some such thing. The temperature may actually be correct but it wont show the actual location.

Ideas?
