I got it up and running and not much different other than more free space. so far pretty stable other than the desk clock will force close when on the charger for a period of time. (could be when mail syncs) I will let you know what else i find later...

Installed 1.04 and other than MMS still not working, all other stuff is good so far. Im not sure if the issues with MMS are ROM or network, my UL and DL speeds are horrible and thats after messing with the PRI to see if any were better.

Hey jstn76rs,

Will you try installing the Golf Logix app for me and tell me if it breaks your data and cell svc when you run it? ... if it does don't worry a reboot will bring it back. I have tried all the previous speedy ports and this happens but over at the MikMik someone replied that it works on Kings R6 and I'm wondering if Mik also changed whatever was needing to be changed in 1.04 to make this work (guessing some of the definition stuff mentioned from the OTA to better align the port with the OTA)

Thanks!

I've been running mikg v1.04 for a few hours and so far so good. I have yet to recreate the brightness bug going to 100% by itself and the ROM just seems to run a little smoother all together.

I also partitioned my SD Card as instructed on Mik's thread. It seems as if all of the memory issues I was having are now gone. No problems with MMS messaging or the front camera either.

I read over there that he'll be posting new sense 3.0 rosie and widgets later tonight or tomorrow. I'll flash those as well and report back.

No, it's not required to update the radio, pri, NV package. No the the radio is not including in this rom. Here is where you can find it: [ Radios ][ 6-3 ] All EVO Radio, WiMAX, PRI, NV & HBoot versions - xda-developers

good luck.

The only issue I have with the brightness is using the flash on the camera will make the brightness shoot all the way up. Im gonna have to look into the partition thing, did mine but maybe see how Mik did it.

Just tested and it looks like this happens on v1.04 as well. At least we know exactly what causes it now. That's not too big of an issue to change back after using the camera.

But as Im typing it, the drop down box(with all the matching names) doesnt show up. Oh well, other than that I havent seen anything wrong

My next question is has HTC released sources for stock GB kernel? Are there SBC kernel already that will work with this ROM?

Hey OMJ, you can disregard my request for deodexed. I am curious, what changes do you make to the MikG base in your ROM?

El Ha$oN 06-17-2011 06:40 AM

First of all I just want to thank OMJ for building this great ROM. I'm not new to the whole flashing ROM business but this the first time I flash an android ROM, and I have to say it is buttery smooth. I am enjoying this every second and I have no problems at all!!!

I do have one slight concern, not really but I can't figure out why. I flashed this ROM and did everything I could think of. Backup previous Rom, wipe data and cache and wiped dalvik. Uploaded and everything and installed my apps with titanium.

And like I said everything good, the thing is my email. I have a hotmail account and I'm trying to sync all my mail in the inbox folder(total of 12 emails in folder) but it will only download the past 1day of emails. I've changed the settings under accounts and sync and it seems like its trying and then it stops. I've deleted the account started over, and nothing. Tried over WiFi and 3G, and still nothing. It stays with the past 1 day of emails.

If anyone could provide any help that would be appreciated. Again thanks OMJ on a great Rom.

it's because amikam moved the audio files in the base rom to /data to save space. I think in his latest rls he moved them back.

see the attached zip, I modified it so it should work....

cool, I've been so busy, I havent had time for anything....

alot of my changes are cosmetic & adding/removing apps.....when I used the stock rom as the base I did alot more, but amakim includes alot of the same tweaks & mods that I used to add, so there's alot less I have to do :)

Well I rebuilt my email from scratch. The only thing I used TB for was app+data. User apps only no system apps. I did some searching and others are suffering and offer to use other email clients but I really don't want to do that.

Thanks for quick reply tho.

First off, thank you OMJ (and other distributors) for this wonderful rom. I've always stuck with OMJ's roms after trying others.

Just wanted to put in some concern after trying this out. Somehow I have the OMJ's Gingerbread Sense 2.1 with software number 4.22.651.2. How come I can't find the link to my exact rom again. I wanted to see if I could download it on my dad's phone.

Another thing, I have tried to download my AOL e-mail through WIFI and it won't download. I would have to switch to 3G to get my e-mail. Any thought on that?

Thanks in advance!

Re: OMJ's HTC EVO 2.3.3 Custom ROMs | GingerBread 4.22.651.2 | *Updated 6/20/11*

First of all, thanks OMJ for all your work. (And, I had few to no problems with the 1.7 version.)

I did a full wipe before the installatio of 1.8. (Using ZZSuperwipe (sp?))

The installation seemed to go fine, and everything booted up well and my google data synced fine.

But, while loading my apps, I've experienced a lot of FCs when trying to use some of the my apps. None of these caused problems in 1.7.

I redownloaded the apps from both the Market and the Amazon App Store, and started from scratch. I did not use Titanium Backup or similar apps to reinstall anything.

Specifically, I'm crashing using Tweetdeck, Poynt, WeatherBug Elite, NECN weather. I might have similar issues with other apps, but I'm in the process loading my apps and these were the initial problems I detected. I did not have a problem with all of the my apps, however. For instance, Pocket Informant, the new Google Music, PowerAMP, etc. all seemed to work fine.

I've tried deleting all data and cache for the misbehaving apps, and have uninstalled and reinstalled them, to no avail. Usually, the FC happens upon opening/starting the app.

Thanks and hopefully someone will be able to provide an explanation/solution/fix.

No problems here so far. I have learned that when using amonra recovery, when youre flashing, wipe data/factory reset before flashing but dont wipe afterward. I usually wipe before and after the flash just to be sure but when I wipe afterward lately I end up with missing system apps like market.
