I'm downloading miks 2.1 now, I'll be updating soon.....

I've also looked at the update only zip, should be ok on my rom, it will only change a few minor things....

Thanks for the help man. Netflix works on this now. I was able to use the 1.2.2 version that I had previously gotten from the market even. Thanks guys, you're all awesome <3.

Nice update! But is anyone else having a problem turning mobile browsing off? Even when I unchecked it in settings it still takes ke to mobile sites.

has anyone used the new tiamat sbc kernel with this rom? i tried but after my phone was stuck on the htc evo boot screen i pulled the battery and tried to reboot did the same thing so i just restored nand. it shouldnt take 15 mins should it? also the kernel i used was
'Tiamat_Evo-v4.0.5-sbc

hey OMJ im still on your 4.6 rom and thinking of flashing OMJ's EVO 2.3.3 GingerBread w/ Sense 2.1 v1.9 should i just flash over my current rom an do i need to update the radio or minmax or anything else ...TIA..LGK777

custom kernels are not 100% compatible with the latest gb sense roms. Everyone is waiting for custom kernels based on the kernel source which HTC has not released yet. You should flash the Htc stock kernel for gb.

oh ok, well when i nand restored it gave me the one with the rom and it works fine, i just want something with the sbc so my battery can last. other than that i am loving this new update! :headbang:

is that prescott az in your weather panel? how did you add it?
i tried putting my old wpdb.zip files from this winter that had prescott in it, but there's nothing in the /data/ directory to replace or edit...:confused:

also, i asked before but i guess no one saw it, is there a way to replace/change the switches in the drop down curtain quick settings?
or assign the 4 lock screen buttons to functions (like airplane mode) rather than apps?

OMG how bout you cancel your EVO 3D and wait for this guy right here HTC EVO 4G+ official, but is it destined for Sprint? -- Engadget ;-)

on a side note any chances we might see some of your work on a Galaxy Tab 10.1 ?

I did not add it, it's auto updated

as far as the quick screen, they were probably different between the different base roms, but I'll see what I can find out.

ah ok thought it would be too coincidental lol

and thanks, those quick settings and the 4lock screen icons are the only things i think i'd like to change everything else seems spot on

A simple restart fixed the lockscreen. Getting my 3D tomorrow. Hope somebody roots it fast. Re-engineered Sense 3.0 sounds exciting.

The reviews on the 3D aren't all that great. I was going to get one but I think I'm going to wait and see what happens here on the forum.

First impressions OMJ??

I got mine on Wednesday. It's definitely worth it cellmod. The reveiwers at engadget have no clue what they are talking about. The phone is a big step up from the OG evo. All it's missing is root which I'm hoping is just around the corner.

I have the previous release (6/20). What are the chances that I can flash this over my exisiting install without needing to wipe?

love it! I thought 3d was gonna be a gimmick, but's it's really cool....I was quite surprised.

alot faster & smoother than the OG EVO.....and w/ custom roms, it will only get better :)

it will probably work, possible w/ no issues, but you'll have duplicate files in both system & data

Been using this ROM since the official Gingerbread got released so it worked properly on the Novatec displays.

Noticed that when I am doing voice command stuff from the home screen other other places, it works like a charm. But when I'm trying to use the voice recognition for sms entry, it doesn't detect any audio.

Any ideas? I always wipe everything when I flash, and did not attempt to restore any previous installs of Voice Search.

HTC EVO 3D in Hand w/ a Otterbox Defender Case (Actually small sized this time). I had to because there is no way I am not going to scratch the raised cameras on the back. It takes a little getting used to the new screen. its a more narrow screen, so I kind of miss the width of the HTC EVO 4G. Very pleased to report that there is NO lag whatsover anywhere. Everything is fluid software wise. Battery life is supposedly superior because HTC redesigned the battery and the new dual core processors are less power hungry.

I just want to say that I decided not to get the 3d because I may switch to verizon when my contract is up. Now you jerks are making me reconsider. I hope youre happy!

p.s.
Is the new updated rom much better than 1.8? I dont know if I feel like resetting up my phone after all these crazy fast updates youve been putting out

Why yes it is. 1.9 is solid and will probably be the standard for awhile. I flashed it to my wife's and the Sprint store managers EVO today. Official speedy ported, latest EVO kernel, and latest re-engineered Sense 2.1

I see that Google Video Chat is (somewhat) implemented/working in 1.9. Anyone getting it to work correctly?
